What to do in Paynesville
The past 3 months, my friend and I have been traveling the east coast of Australia in our lovely rented camper van. We figured it a given, seeing as the Australia is famous for its wildlife, that we would constantly almost be mowed down by Kangaroos, Emus, and Crocodiles. It was only after two weeks that we realized that most of our encounters with animals had been roadkill, and we concluded that we were probably looking in the wrong places. A cup of coffee, and some friendly conversation with a couple of locals was all it took for us to be pointed in the direction of Eden and Paynesville, and this is what it looked like :)

The highlight of this walk, is an eroded sandstone cave know as Mark's Tomb, from the original developer of the Hydro Majestic Hotel, Mark Foy. He was a prominent Sydney businessman who gained a lot of pleasure from his exclusive hotel development.
Although he would have like to have been buried there, things did not turn out that way. See my Blog for more information (the link is at the end of the video).
The track, which is somewhat overgrown, passes through some fairly average Blue Mountains bushland. It is frequently used by climbers to access the nearby cliffs. Rock climbing is a popular sport in the western Blue Mountains.
