New Italy is a village near Woodburn in the Northern Rivers district in New South Wales, Australia. The busy Pacific Highway passes nearby. New Italy is 693 km north-east of the state capital, Sydney, and 12 km south of Woodburn. New Italy is part of the Richmond Valley Shire, the administrative headquarters of which is in nearby Casino.

Its name is taken from a rock arch in Springbrook National Park. A waterfall along Cave Creek, a tributary of the Nerang River flows through the arch. Natural Bridge is located at the southern extent of the Nerang River valley on the southern border with New South Wales, between the Springbrook plateau and Binna Burra in the Scenic Rim Region. The western half of Natural Bridge is protected within Lamington National Park. The rugged landscape here is dotted with waterfalls, lookouts and peaks rising above 1,100 metres. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a heritage-listed zoological garden at 28 Tomewin Street, Currumbin, Queensland, Australia. It was built in 1947 onwards. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 18 September 2009. The sanctuary is world-renowned for its feeding of huge flocks of free-flying wild rainbow lorikeets, which come to the sanctuary to feast off the special mixture which the lorikeets eat. The multitude of events, shows and attractions include dingo encounters, free flight bird shows and feeding of the park's massive saltwater crocodile. The park also contains a serious aspect of its work and exhibits, and behind the scenes includes a state-of-the-art veterinary and rehabilitation hospital. Coolangatta is the southernmost suburb of City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is named after the schooner Coolangatta which was wrecked there in 1846. At the 2016 Australian Census, the suburb recorded a population of 5,948.Coolangatta and its immediate neighbouring Twin Town Tweed Heads in New South Wales have a shared economy. The Tweed River supports a thriving fishing fleet, and the seafood is a local specialty offered in the restaurants and clubs of the holiday and retirement region on both sides of the state border. The Gold Coast Airport, formerly known as Coolangatta Airport, is located at Coolangatta, with some of the runway going across the border into New South Wales.

Kirra is a beach-side suburb of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The small rocky headland Kirra Point separates Kirra beach to the north and Coolangatta beach to the south, and is noted as one of the world's premier surf breaks. In the past the surf break was known for producing high quality barrels. Today sand pumping across the Tweed River mouth has filled it in and changed its character. In May 1972 the Government of Queensland built a groyne, now called big groyne, extending Kirra Point, to trap sand on Coolangatta beach to the south. The growing tourist industry there relied on sandy beaches and the Coolangatta stretch had been plagued by erosion problems. Yelgun Rest Area in Northern NSW provides this excellent Free place to stay overnight.
Located just 5kms north of Brunswick Heads and 20 kms north of Byron Bay.
Wikicamps refers to No camping signs, this clearly relates to tents only. It would appear a local has an issue with it and often changes it on Wikicamps from a place to stay. This is not true.
Designated car parks are in place as are long parking spaces for Caravans and Motorhomes. Truck parking is separate.
It is a Driver Reviver stop plus a coffee van was there the night we stayed.
Toilets, Bins, BBQ's and seating are all provided.
It is Pet friendly
We had good phone coverage with Telstra, Vodafone and Optus
Cost to stay is Free
