The King's Castle is Australia's only permanent collection of Elvis' personal memorabilia on loan to Parkes Shire Council, New South Wales, Australia by former Yellow Wiggle Greg Page. The collection features clothing, jewellery and many other items that were owned by Elvis himself. The collection is housed at the Henry Parkes Centre, on the Newell Highway, Parkes and is open to the public seven days a week. The display consists of two galleries including exhibits of Elvis' early years, movie years, personal life and stage and army careers. The collection is updated annually prior to the Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival held on the second weekend of January every year.

Stanthorpe Soldiers Memorial is a heritage-listed war memorial at Lock Street, Stanthorpe, Southern Downs Region, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Dornbusch & Connolly and built from 1925 to 1926 by N J Thompson & Sons. It is also known as Stanthorpe War Memorial. It was unveiled on 6th February 1926, by Sir William Glasgow, K.C.G. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 3 August 1995.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo, formerly known as Western Plains Zoo and commonly known as Dubbo Zoo, is a large zoo near Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. It opened to the public on 28 February 1977, to provide more living and breeding space for large animals such as elephants and antelopes which needed more space than was available at the restricted Sydney site. The zoo is run by the Taronga Conservation Society , along with Taronga Zoo Sydney. Western Plains Zoo is located on the Newell Highway in west Dubbo about 4 km from the city.

7. Cowra Japanese Garden Cowra
The Cowra breakout occurred on 5 August 1944, when at least 1,104 Japanese prisoners of war attempted to escape from a prisoner of war camp near Cowra, in New South Wales, Australia. It was the largest prison escape of World War II, as well as one of the bloodiest. During the escape and ensuing manhunt, four Australian soldiers and 231 Japanese soldiers were killed. The remaining escapees were captured and imprisoned.

The Old Dubbo Gaol is an heritage-listed former gaol and now museum and tourist attraction at 90 Macquarie Street, Dubbo in the Dubbo Regional Council local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The gaol was designed by the NSW Colonial Architect's Office and was built from 1847 to 1945 by James Atkinson Jnr and William Bonython Moffatt . The gaol is also known as the Dubbo Jail and the Dubbo Gaol. The building was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 26 March 2004. The building was the second gaol in Dubbo, replacing lockups built in 1847 and 1862.When closed, the Government of New South Wales planned its demolition and replacement with a multi-storey office block. Inside The Dish - Parkes CSIRO Radio Telescope tour

A behind the scenes tour under, inside and on 'The Dish' - the CSIRO Radio Telescope in Parkes NSW. See how scientists are searching for alien life, how radio signals are received and processed, and see The Dish moving up close.

Thanks to CSIRO and Operations Scientist John Sarkissian for a really entertaining and informative all access tour to learn more about the amazing radio telescope. It's worth a trip to Parkes in New South Wales to see The Dish alone.

Moorabbin to Parkes 'The Dish' - Longreach EP04

Day 1 of my pilot vlogs flying from Melbourne to Longreach and back. Today I flew from Moorabbin Airport to Parkes and stopped to see 'The Dish'.

I'll be flying from Melbourne to Longreach in a Cirrus SR20 under the Instrument and Visual flight rules. Stopping at regional airports along the way, hopefully meeting some interesting people and fellow aviators, and sharing the whole trip with you here on YouTube.

The CSIRO radio telescope observatory in Parkes is a fantastic place to visit and learn about how Australia was pivotal in helping with the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. I chat to one of the Observation Scientists from CSIRO about that historic day in this vlog.

Road Trips in Australia - Newell Highway. The Newell Highway is the major route between Brisbane and Melbourne, and goes through regional New South Wales. There are many places to stop at and attractions to see, and this highway is often dubbed the Highway 66 of Australia.
