    The Parkes Observatory is a radio telescope observatory, located 20 kilometres north of the town of Parkes, New South Wales, Australia. It was one of several radio antennas used to receive live, televised images of the Apollo 11 moon landing on 20 July 1969. Its scientific contributions over the decades led the ABC to describe it as the most successful scientific instrument ever built in Australia after 50 years of operation. The Parkes Observatory is run by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation as part of the Australia Telescope National Facility network of radio telescopes.     The King's Castle is Australia's only permanent collection of Elvis' personal memorabilia on loan to Parkes Shire Council, New South Wales, Australia by former Yellow Wiggle Greg Page. The collection features clothing, jewellery and many other items that were owned by Elvis himself. The collection is housed at the Henry Parkes Centre, on the Newell Highway, Parkes and is open to the public seven days a week. The display consists of two galleries including exhibits of Elvis' early years, movie years, personal life and stage and army careers. The collection is updated annually prior to the Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival held on the second weekend of January every year.
