Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo 2019
Taronga Western Plains Zoo, formerly known as Western Plains Zoo and commonly known as Dubbo Zoo, is a large zoo near Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia.
Taronga Western Plains Zoo is has the animals out in their natural environment and free to roam as they wish. Taronga Western Plains Zoo or as it is also known just as Dubbo Zoo has a world renowned breeding program.
You can walk around the Zoo, Hire a Bike or Buggy or just drive your car. Either way it is a great day for all and you can also bring a picnic or BBQ along for your lunch.
Taronga Western plains zoo Dubbo now also has a brand new lion enclosure where you can get right up close and personal with the lions (see this video).

This video is about my visiting to Taronga Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo, NSW. The Zoo is home to hundreds of rare and endangered animals including giraffes, rhinos, elephants and big cats. Dubbo is a long way drive from Sydney. It makes better sense to stay there for 2 nights if you want to drive from Sydney.

Zoofari Lodge at Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo, Australia - review
This may be my most impressive and exotic location yet: our lodge was almost right inside the African Plains exhibit at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. You could look outside the front door and see giraffes and other animals just roaming around. It was pretty dang cool.

Here's the vlog from our zoo stay a few months back that I just never got around to editing!!
This experience was one of the best we have ever had and we HIGHLY recommend giving it a go. The food was amazing, staff were incredible, accomodation was super luxurious and the tours were awesome.
I really hope you guys like this ep and I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to get it edited and uploaded for you all!
Lets hope I can pick up my game in the New Year ;)

If you are ever in Dubbo, NSW - Australia, you should go to Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Its an open range zoo where the animals have heaps of room to move around. You can hire buggies or bikes to ride around the zoo or you can even take your own car through!
My favorites were the meerkats and giraffes. There is also a funny moment at the end with the Galapagos tortoises!

The rare animal you will find in Australia's Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo, New South Wales
The siamang-ape, is a black-furred gibbon native to the forests of Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The largest of the gibbons, the siamang can be twice the size of other gibbons, reaching 1 m in height, and weighing up to 14 kg.
The siamang is distinctive for two reasons. The first is that two digits on each foot are partially joined by a membrane. The second is the large gular sac (found in both males and females of the species), which is a throat pouch that can be inflated to the size of the siamang's head, allowing it to make loud, resonating calls or songs. This sound along with howls and whistles, is generally heard in the early morning and late afternoon in the rainforest and can carry up to 5 kilometeres.

A monkey says hello....Well kind of :) another puts on a private show, The meerkats are morning peeps like me, Have you seen a Giraffe lean all the way down to eat? The Cheetah struts her stuff & why do people say a Zebra is black & White? If your going to go to Dubbo then make sure to hit The Pastoral Pub.. Yummy food & one of the tastiest desserts I've ever had Nutella Cheesecake with Baileys & Almond Ice cream!
