Bingara is a small town on the Gwydir River in Murchison County in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. Bingara is currently the administrative centre for the Gwydir Shire that was created in 2003. Bingara is one of the few places in Australia where diamonds have been found. The Gwydir River being a main highlight of the town is a main catchment of the Murray-Darling System.

6. Mt Kaputar National Park Narrabri
Mount Dowe is a mountain in the North West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of an old shield volcano that was active around 18 million years ago. With an elevation of 1,457 metres above sea level, Mount Dowe is the second highest mountain in the Nandewar Range, only being just short of Mount Kaputar, at 1,508 metres above sea level. On the mountain peak are television and radio transmitters which broadcast to locations such as Moree, Tamworth, Gunnedah and Narrabri as it provides a prime location to give television coverage to vast areas in the North West Slopes and Plains region.The summit of Mount Dowe is often 10 °C colder than the valley floor. Mount Dowe can also receive snow during winter but usually this is only a light dusting.

Sawn Rocks - Mt Kaputar National Park

Narrabri Visitor Information Centre provides a visual overview of Sawn Rocks located in the Mt Kaputar National Park.

Keen to experience an almighty wall of organ pipes without stepping foot inside a church? Then Sawn Rocks, with its towering 40m high pillars is the place to go. Undoubtedly the most iconic reminder of Kaputar’s volcanic past, this basalt rock formation is located in the northern section of Mt Kaputar National Park.

151. The Glen, Uralla NSW

The Glen at Uralla in NSW is a 48 hour Free camp rest area, just 85kms north of Tamworth and approx 20kms south of Armidale.
A great spot, we were the only ones there the night of our stay.
Toilets and Water are available in the Rotary Park opposite the Rest area.
It is close to the Highway and does have some truck noise.
It is pet friendly and there's a off leash dog park behind it.
We had excellent coverage with Telstra, Vodafone and Optus.
The cost to stay is Free
Our stay was 9-10th October 2017.

Old Grafton Glen Innes Road trip

Road trip on the Old Grafton to Glen Innes Rd. from the Mann River Nature Reserve up the Big Hill to the junction with the Gwydir Highway. It was a wet and foggy day and there was evidence along the way of the damage caused by the recent heavy rains and flooding in the area.
