Kincumber is a south-eastern suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, nested between the Kincumba Mountain Reserve and the Kincumber Broadwater and located 91 kilometres north of Sydney via the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway . It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. A nature reserve, Kincumba Mountain, is located within the suburb and is often used by the community for various functions, including picnicking, bush-walking, orienteering, parties, and carnivals.

The Australian Reptile Park is located at Somersby on the Central Coast, New South Wales in Australia. It is about 50 kilometres North of Sydney, and is just off the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway. The park is home to a variety of reptiles, including snakes, lizards and crocodiles, as well as other Australian animals, such as koalas, kangaroos, cassowaries and Tasmanian devils. The park is heavily involved in snake and spider venom collection for use in the production of Antivenom and is credited for saving the lives of thousands. It is an institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association .

This walk is in Kincumber Mountain Regional Reserve on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia. It is a one way walk using the Glasson, Kanning and Yanina walks, although I returned to the car, making it a nice 9km walk.

Echo Point to Leura Forest Loop via Giant Stairway - Blue Mountains

When a short 4km walk takes 3 hours you know it's steep. This is a lovely walk that climbs down the Giant Stairway from Echo Point and then North along Dardanelles Pass to Leura Forest before heading South along Federal Pass to rejoin the Dardanelles Pass back to the Giant Stairway and the 900 step climb back up to Echo Point. The views around here are breathtaking.

I happened to be up at Katoomba on the weekend (for my grandson's birthday) and did this walk on a Saturday. Very busy near the top of the Stairway. Week days might be quieter.
