Ingenia Holidays Big 4, Lake Macquarie NSW
206. The Ingenia Holidays Big 4 Caravan Park at Lake Macquarie is a fantastic location and really well priced Caravan Park. We based ourselves here while we discovered the region.
The park has good, secure, gated entry and comes with a big pool, great camp kitchen, childrens playground plus a jumping pillow.
There is all the facilities you would normally expect with powered sites, water, bins and good amenities. The Dump point was harder to find, it is beside the toilet block and has an aluminum lid not the blue one you would often see. There were no clear identifying signs to it at the time.
The sites were all good size and ample space.
It is a Pet friendly park however check with staff first during peak periods.
We had good Telstra and Vodafone coverage.
Cost to stay is:
Weekend: $39 per night overlooking water, $35 back from waterfor powered site and water
Mid week: $27 per night overlooking water, $25 back from water for powered site and water
Our stay was 2-5th December 2018

Moonee Beach NSW
Moonee Beach NSW. Australia is near Coffs Harbour. A beautiful spot where Moonee creek meets the Pacific Ocean in the Solitary Islands Marine Park.
A quiet fishing village on the east coast and at the mouth of the Manning River. About the breakwaters you can walk and enjoy the many fishermen (and pelicans at the fishcleaningspoints) who use these breakers. Beautiful beach walks can be made over the Harrington Beach and with some luck you will see schools of dolphins passing by. From the Pilots Hill Lookout you have a beautiful view over the mouth of the Manning River. The village where our friend Hans lived was our base for many interesting trips. During a mini carpet bowls night in the club we met Tom Page. A man with an interesting life history as a woodcutter in the bushes in various districts of NSW. He has described his life experiences in a booklet entitled Poetic feelings and memories. In it he describes his strong relationship with nature or as he says: Mother nature, my God a beautiful Lady.
Port Macquarie - Australia's Most 'Wasted' City.
The Time to Talk Show gives an affectionate appraisal of the greatest coastal city in Australia - Port Macquarie. Broadcast on 103.9FM (2WAYFM).
Port Macquarie is a city on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, located about 390 km (242 mi) north of Sydney, and 570 km (354 mi) south of Brisbane. The city is located on the coast, at the mouth of the Hastings River, and has an estimated population of 44,313.
Port Macquarie is a retirement destination, known for its extensive beaches and waterways. The town is also known for its koala population, being the home to the Billabong Koala Park, and the Koala Preservation Society's Koala Hospital, caring for koalas injured through bushfire, dog attacks and collisions with vehicles.
In recent times, real estate developments have led to debates with residents, in particular the Rydges Hotel (formerly Four Points by Sheraton) built opposite the Town Green[citation needed]. The Post Office on the Town Green was demolished to make way for a new apartment block, a development that saw the controversial removal of several large fig trees and subsequent debate in the community about the value of public space.[citation needed]
The residential suburbs stretch to Lighthouse Beach in the south, Thrumster to the west and to the north shore, on the north bank of the river. Settlement Point has a new canal development, being one of the most recent[when?] real estate developments in the town. More recently, July 2010, Sovereign Hills, has begun development in the west. At present it includes a new school, St Joseph's Regional College, and shortly[when?] there be will shopping facilities and residential areas.
To get a first hand impression of life in Port Macquarie, there are plenty of historical documents available for viewing at the Port Macquarie Historical Society.

Rainbow Beach Holiday Village - Top Tourist Parks - Discover Downunder
Rainbow Beach Holiday Village is a two hour drive south of Hervey Bay with the bottom tip of Fraser Island directly off shore. Once again it's the Top Tourist Park with the prime location in town. Brooke Hanson TV presenter of Discover Downunder talks to Geoff & Annette Cochrone who have been managing the park for 26 years. The park is popular and people who stay come back again and again. The area is not big so parking the car and walking around everywhere is popular with the guests. There are 100 powered sites, 27 units with 17 of them two bedroom and 10 one bedroom. The villas are from the Olympic stadium in Sydney. Brooke also talks to the Eddy Family who have a great set up for their holiday using a campertrailer. For more information go to or
