The Kinchega National Park is a protected national park that is located in the Far West region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 44,259-hectare national park is located approximately 840 kilometres west of Sydney and 111 kilometres south-east of Broken Hill. The park adjoins the town of Menindee. The eastern edge of the Kinchega National Park is formed by the Darling River. The park is noted for its Aboriginal artefacts, left behind by the Paarkantji people, who travelled up and down the Darling River.

When I first saying to my mates that I wanted to do a road trip to experience NSW Outback, I had mixed reactions.

Some referred me back to the movie Wolf Creek, one of them said 'Why would you go there?' in which I replied 'Why would you NOT go there?'

10th June 2012 Silver City Hwy to Wentworth

We hit the bitumen South to Wentworth where the Darling and the Murray Rivers meet. I created a collage of the road distance markers on the way to give an overview of the changing countryside.

I must say, whenever I spend time with my son, it’s a great experience. We are so much alike, considering the large gap in our ages.
Early in July 2018 we spent a couple of days exploring the dirt tracks north of Broken Hill.

I’m sure we will do another trip together but not to the “Corner Country”. I think at last I can tick that area off my bucket list.
