Little Sahara on Kangaroo Island is a heritage area, naturally occurring sand dune system roughly covering two square kilometres. The dunes vary in size with plenty of small dunes and the highest dune is approximately 70 metres above sea level.

a few mates and my two brothers sand boarding at little sahara on kangaroo island, never done it before but we gave it a go and other than climbing back up the sand dune it was fun!

The existence of Little Sahara totally certainly adds up the excitement of the whole trip. The visitors here would be impressed by this unique view of the desert. The white sandy dune of little Sahara is miles away from the sea and sand sliding has become an interesting sports. For some surfers, not only are they out to conquer the choppy waves but also the soft sand of Little Sahara.

These Dunes were probably 100 feet high. The Sandboard had to be waxed just like a Surfboard. This was tons of FUN!

These Dunes were very steep, you take one step forward and slide back down two. So I resorted to crawling! Without the Juice in me I probably would not have been able to keep up with my 13 year old son out there on the Dunes.
