Huahin Thailand - Loi Krathong Parade
This video shows the Loi Krathong parade in Huahin. Loi Krathong (also written as Loy Krathong or Loy Gratong, Thai: ลอยกระทง, IPA: [lɔːj kràʔ tʰoŋ]) is a festival celebrated annually throughout Thailand and certain parts of Laos and Burma (in the Shan State). The name could be translated Floating Crown or Floating Decoration, and comes from the tradition of making boyant decorations which are then floated on a river. Recorded October 2011
Hua Hin Night Market Tour – Seafood, Shopping and Thai Street Food at Hua Hin Night Market 2019
Hua Hin Night Market Tour 2019. Thai Street Food, Seafood and Shopping in Hua Hin Thailand. NEW THAILAND FOOD AND TRAVEL VIDEOS EVERY WEDNESDAY. Subscribe: Night Market Tour and Street Food in Hua Hin 2019.
Hua Hin is a great place for visiting night markets and eating Thai street food, with heaps of options on offer. This video is a walking tour of the main night market in Hua Hin 2019 and a food guide to the street food and seafood there, showing what you will find & what to eat. There are all sorts of barbequed & fried foods as well as loads of soups, salads & fresh fruit available. And there’s masses of seafood at the market, some of the best seafood restaurants in Hua Hin are within the market.
Hu Hin Night Market is right in the heart of Hua Hin, on Dechanuchit Alley.
The market is open every night from 6pm till 11pm, Google Maps:
The meal we had in the video cost 1,360 baht for the seafood and drinks.
Check out my recent video: 8 Thai Street Foods You Should Eat in Phuket in 2019 here:
There are different night markets open every night of the week in Hua Hin. Thai food markets and night markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets & night markets all over Thailand. At the markets you'll find so much Thai cuisine on offer & the food here is cheap, and so tasty! Thai food has been heavily influenced by Chinese food so you will find lots of familiar flavours.
And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. You’ll find street food on many street corners in Thailand, be it in Hua Hin, Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya or Krabi and at all of the markets. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in Thai restaurants. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai Food Markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!
Subscribe to my channel for my latest vlog and for more videos on what to do in Thailand and what to eat in Thailand. New Thailand videos posted every Wednesday about Thailand: places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, street food, Thai recipes, eating Thai food, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel, including Hua Hin, Bangkok, Phuket, Patong, Ao Nang, Krabi and other Thailand destinations.
Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

The Pattaya Ferry Departs Hua Hin, Thailand
Pattaya's new ferry service is a great way to go between Pattaya and Hua Hin.
More info and pictures:
In this video you can seethe ferry leaving Hua Hin enroute to Pattaya. This was shot from inside the Business Lounge, which is the upper level of the ferry. It was shot through the window so it's a bit hazy, with a little reflection.
The ferry leaves Khoa Takiab pier at 1:30pm. You can check in at 12:00 noon. Tickets are purchased at the pier. You can also call and reserve your seat early.
Be careful about the weather; they will cancel the ferry trip in bad weather. Always have a backup plan. The other options for getting rom Hua Hin to Pattaya (and vice versa) are the bus, a private car, and sometimes Thai regional airline Kan Air has flights on Fridays.
The bus or a car takes 5 - 6 hours, and the Ferry takes between 2 and 3 hours. I vote for the ferry :)

Bangkok Vlog - Khao San Road, River Dinner Cruise, Free Muay Thai Fights
Today, we get up to some fun things to do in Bangkok! We check out a free Muay Thai fight at the Channel 7 Muay Thai stadium, experience a Bangkok River dinner cruise and visit Khao San Road!
Howdy everybody! So, today we start off catching the Bangkok railway off to the channel 7 Muay Thai stadium. The railway is a great way to get around Bangkok as it was 100 Baht for us both to cross the town, however they only accept coins! Luckily they have a booth dedicated to strictly breaking down bills as the biggest coin is 10 baht! So 10 coins each way was a little hard to have on hand haha. But as for the transportation the railway was clean, smooth and you are going overtop of traffic so it was probably about as fast as taking a Grab through city traffic anyway and was a fun experience. We visited a park quick at our stop that had some huge catfish being fed in the water before we walked to Channel 7's Muay Thai stadium which has free admission on Sunday with quality fights! We ended up paying an extra 200 Baht per person however once in there for our front rows seats as you would have to show up hour(s) early to get a good spot on the bleachers otherwise with the locals and sit in the midst of all the crazy gambling happening as you'll see. They all yell and have hand gestures for different bets, they're there as much for the sport as the gambling it would seem! But for an awesome seat ringside and the fact the admission was free it was well worth it. We saw 2 knockouts! One big headkick and one elbow to the middle of the face.
In the evening we had booked a Bangkok River dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya Cruise. We boarded the cruise at River City after taking a Grab there. The boat entered with a grand entrance and it lived up to the hype and expectation. Once we were on an seated, we were located on the top deck (which we wanted for the fresh air / breeze / views) on the outer isle not having to squeeze past people and near the food, it was a good spot. I happened to have smiled and been giving friendly nods to the staff as they all walked past, and we ended up being asked by one of the managers if we would be interested in moving seats to the front of the boat! I'm assuming the table's guests never arrived as he replaced their seat number with ours and we ended up being the very front table for 2 seat on the whole boat and the manager fellow tended to us for service throughout the night. So a special thank you to Chao Phraya Princess Cruise #6, and the kind fellow that upgraded us. They had tasty food with a good variety and the entertainer / singer also did an awesome job. The Bangkok River dinner cruise was two and a half hours of relaxation and we went past many major landmarks, even the Royal Palace which was all lit up. The night time views and all the lights throughout the city had a different perspective as you floated along the water watching it all drift by. Definitely one thing to do in Bangkok if you are looking for a nice evening out. (Especially after a hot busy day with walking!) Once we had returned to River City, it was time to get back home. We took a free boat shuttle across the river from River City itself over to the IconSiam Mall which was on our side of the river. From there we caught a free shuttle bus that ran from the mall to the train station right outside our AirBnB!
The next day we also visited the (in)famous Khao San Rd. We showed up around 8:45pm and ended up attending a comedy club at 9:00 and we were off. The Khao San Road Comedy Club was a hilarious and enjoyable time. We chatted with the owner, John who was extremely friendly and personable and also one of the comedians/main host. If you are looking for a laugh and want to visit Khao San road without doing the typical crazy party scene they are well worth a visit and are growing by the day. In between sets the owner himself was actually setting up more new tables in the back they had bought to accommodate a late group. Loved your club John and hope you guys are all doing well! After the comedy sets which lasted until roughly 11:30pm we had some making up to do for the time so walked up and down the whole strip. Vendors for all sorts of beverages and foods, merchandise, bars and clubs, I'm sure you could find anything in your hearts desire on Khao San Road. But after settling in to the crazy environment just like that it was over. At 12:00am the actual police showed up and drove through the strip getting people to pack up and move on. We heard that the noise and rowdy nature was starting to get the area a bad wrap so midnight it was. Plenty earlier than we are used to in Canada as I am sure many of you guys are as well in your areas!
Thanks for tuning in as always friends, smash the like and subscribe button if you enjoyed the content to show your support and we'll catch you next week! Cheers.
