We took the kids to the Fairyland at Triton's Fountain, Valletta. They really enjoyed it! But who hasn't been?! If you haven't, it will be there until Sunday the 5th of January 2020.
There is a lot to do for kids of all ages. Jaimee went ice skating, Sam went on the carousel and small train. My husband took the two of them on the Ferris wheel. So of course it was fun also for the adults. I loved the market where there were very tasty delicacies. Well done to the organisers!

The old Malta railway tunnel & station ,Floriana ( Railway foundation link below ) This was the only railway line ever on the island of Malta, and it consisted of a single railway line from Valletta to Mdina. It was a single-track line in metre gauge, operating from 1883 to 1931. The railway was known locally in Maltese as il-vapur tal-art (the land ship). The railway tunnel running under the fortifications of Valletta was used as an air-raid-shelter.

We took a visit to The Valletta Toy Museum. Wow what a lot of genuinely rare toys to be seen. A great little place to visit if you are into toy collections.

The Toy Museum is located in the capital of Malta, Valletta, opposite Casa Rocca Piccola and spreads over three floors.
The Toy Museum houses a very large and impressive collection of toys from the 1950s onward including model planes, boats, Matchbox cars, farmyard animals, trains and dolls.
This museum was opened by Vincent Brown in 1998 after Brown’s visited a very similar museum in England and actually displays his personal collection accumulated over 30 years. Vincent Brown strongly believes that toys help to recapture memories of childhood, adventures and fun. The unique collection is mostly displayed in glass cabinets and is more suited to nostalgic adults than children who wish to play with the toys.

My name is Jay, I live in England, UK. On my travels I'm joined by my good lady, Bronte (most of the time), my Dad (some of the time) our wider family occassionally and my dog when not travelling overseas.
What's This Channel About: It started as a travel diary, as a way to share our experiences with our friends and family. A wider audience took an interest in my videos and things just grew from there.
Why We Love To Travel: As a young adult I was always too busy working to take vacations. My mindset was fixed on building a successful business and this was always justified by telling myself that I'd travel once I'd made my fortunes. By the time I was 30 years old I'd only been on two overseas vacations and did not think I was missing out. Roll forward to 2015, Bronte finally convinced me to book a stay at an all inclusive resort in Fuerteventura. It was an amazing experience and I was instantly bitten by the travel bug and now want to see loads of different places and travel as much as we can.
How frequently Do you Travel : As frequently as possible, currently around seven times per year. We have commitments at home meaning we need to fit our travel plans in around everyday life.
Why Are We Not On Camera: These videos are about the places, adventures, experiences and destinations. The videos are not about me / us - I'm not a TV presenter and I have absolutely not desire to be in front of the camera. Whilst not adverse to being on camera it's just not what our videos are about at the moment.
What's in our kitbag: Canon SX540, Canon SX510, various GoPro cameras including the Hero 3 and the Hero 4 Black plus a Nextbase Dashcam and Samsung and Apple cameraphones.
Our Favorite Places 2 Go Travel: Canary Islands, especially Lanzarote & Fuerteventura are big favourites with us because of the near year round sun and relaxing vibes.

Malta Railway Inauguration 28th February 1883
Wednesday 28th February 1883, the last day of the month,was a historical day for Malta and the Maltese. At 15:00 hours the official inaugural journey of the Malta Railway from Valletta Terminus Station to Notabile Station in Rabat commenced. On this train there were the top brass of the time, officials from the civil service and The Governor General Sir Arthur Botron who officially inaugurated the Railway. As from the next day Thursday 1st March 1883 regular scheduled service began and became part of of the life of the Maltese people for the following 48 years.
MALTA: Żejtun-Lino Psaila Kite Master
MALTA: Lino Psaila - Kite Master of Malta
This video is about the Kite Master of Malta, Mr Lino Psaila, from Zejtun. Some years ago, he was also the European Kite Champion. This video includes a background of the Kite Master, kite making demonstration and kite flying at St Thomas Bay (A train-kite in Grandmasters them made out of 30 kites).
Besides being involved in kites, or, as they call them in Zejtun, Manucci, Lino is also a writer and a specialist in Zejtun Dailect. He will be publishing a book in Zejtun Dialect very soon.
He has already published a substantial number of articles on maritime themes in the Maltese press. In 1970, he published a book entitled Il-Bahar Rasu Iebsa (The Sea is hard headed) which is an interesting account of adventures and tragedies on the high seas. A second edition of which, was published in 1996 with additions and revisions, when, for the first time ever, Lino gave prominence to the Zejtun dialect.
In 1997, he won first prize in a national competition with his study X'Tani l-Bahar - (What the Sea has given me).
