Medellín: The City of Contrasts and the Eternal Spring
This shows tourism through another angle to highlight the lives of the locals who live in Medellín and show how they manage to promote change for the better since the 1990's. I took this angle to help the locals share their story and what their experiences are like in these Barrios. If you go to Medellín, I also encourage you to go to these barrios in a tour and listen to these people's story. In the meantime please like and share this video if it touched you and also to help the locals.

— About Exploring Colombia —
Colombia, a country which many only know because of it’s violent past, has been on my list since I went to South America for my first long-term trip in 2012. 6 Years later and with 5 weeks to spend it was finally time to properly explore my country number 9 on the continent.
For the first part of the trip I’ll be traveling with my mate David to the historical city of Cartagena, some picturesque Carribean islands and to the city of Medellin where we get to learn about the violent past and the transformation of the country. After a few days in the capital Bogota I’ll be joined by my good friend Stefan to learn salsa and take on some outdoor adventures in Cali before heading up to Santa Marta where we checkout the most beautiful beaches, float down rivers and hike through the mountains.

Medellin Colombia - City of the Eternal Spring
Ten days in Medellin. Wonderful weather and very nice people. To me the city is still working itself away from it's past. There are some nice areas, but a lot of what we saw was a lot of poverty. I think in 10-15 years it will be a great city to visit for people that are my age. The people want to make the city better and can see great improvement over the last few years.
Americans in Medellin Dating Colombian Women
With close proximity to Latin America, American men are traveling to Medellin Colombia in staggering numbers, searching for romantic opportunities with gorgeous Colombian women.
Especially accessible for fluent Spanish speaking men, Medellin Colombia continues to intrigue single men from the United States, most of whom have taken an interest in dating possibilities with Colombian women.
As men's movements like MGTOW and red pill take hold of single Americans, many unwed and divorced men have set their sights on international dating in countries like Colombia.
In contrast to movements like MGTOW and red pill, men who are interested in dating Latinas are doing so because of the traditional nature that women from Colombia have a strong reputation for upholding.
Women in cities like Medellin are interested in finding a man who will take charge of the relationship, lead their household and also be a strong male influence in the event of parenthood.
Latina women hold traditional views towards marriage, family life and the gender roles of men and women in society.

????Jardin Colombia | Things To Do In Jardin Colombia ????????
????Jardin, Colombia definitely stole my heart the minute my international and Colombian friends and I arrived in this magical little place. It's a complete contrast from the busy city of Medellin. The people there are completely laid back, still ride horses, and it is extremely safe.
▪️There are so many things to do including hiking, coffee tours, swimming in the waterfalls, exploring caves, bird watching, and a cool old vintage cable car (and other things I'm probably forgetting).
▪️The bus ride from Medellin to Jardin is about 3.5/4 hours one-way and costs 24.000 pesos ($9 USD). I'd recommend at least a full weekend there.

Colombia | Jericó- A hidden Gem in Colombia!
Greetings from Jerico, Colombia!
We’ve been settling into village life here in this beautiful town which is rich in culture. We have seen more campesinos (cowboys) on their horses than we have cars!
This weekend our friend from Medellin visited us and we decided to go for a swim coupled with our Spanish teacher Angelo in Rio Piedras. The river forms one of the two main rivers here in Antioquia along with Rio Frio.
We also visited el Jardin Botanico, a nature reserve and botanical garden home to a myriad of plants and aquatic life. The garden lead us all the way up to Morro el Salvador, a famous mountain peak where a statue of Jesus Christ stands tall. The peak of the mountain offers stunning 360 degree panoramic views of Jerico, and we took a moment to appreciate it all. Below we could see Parque Reyes, the main park in the town where locals gather to eat, drink and catch-up with friends, as well as the Cathedral where daily mass is held.
We’ve had an amazing time so far, Jerico has definitely lived up to our expectations. We’ve also made lots of progress with our crowdfunding campaign and have almost reached our target! So many thanks to those who have shared our video and who have donated!
As always, stay tuned for more ;)

Women Built This City. Colombia's City of Women: a safe haven from civil war & sexual violence
In Colombia, there is a unique place called the City of Women – a hundred homes belonging to the women who built them themselves. They are among more than seven million Colombians, half of them women, who have been forcibly displaced by the violent civil war that raged in the country for more than fifty years. “We, women, always suffer. The army comes; they rape us. Guerillas come, they rape us, other militarised groups come, they do the same,” says internally displaced, Marica Ester. They fled their homes to escape atrocities perpetrated by all sides, but calm remains a distant dream for many. Those living in the City of Women and human rights activists fighting for justice for the displaced women are regularly threatened and killed.

A harrowing account of life on some of the world's most dangerous streets, this documentary follows 13-year-old Carlito as guides filmmaker Jean-Stephane Sauvaire on a tour of his decimated neighborhood in Medellin, Colombia's second-largest city. There, armed children hold out against paramilitary troops, criminal gangs, and guerrilla fighters. In stark contrast to North American kids his age, Carlito carries a statue of the Virgin around as he listens to his shell-shocked neighbors confess their tragic stories and pray to the Holy Mother. Literally shot under the gun because of Medellin's daily street violence, Sauvaire offers a haunting expose, exquisitely photographed, and expertly crafted.

Cartagena was to create the walls surrounding the Spanish town in it. Current Spanish city called Girona 's old town is a World Heritage Site along with the walls . Now 400 years later that the walls and the old town is a place of memories for tourists. In particular, the beautiful alleys of the old town is quickly fascinated me . Old Town residents can decorate each one in the garden with summer flowers on the balcony. In contrast to the beauty of the balcony I went home with the most beautiful balcony . This restaurant is a place that 350 years . Atda go to the restaurant the second floor room.
