Saw that the traditional visit to the town on the outskirts of the city. Although the life expectancy of indigenous people is a small Spanish village. They once decorated the place that dominated their country is not readily understood. But if you think back to the ancestors who came over from Spain most. There are many street snack. This is reminiscent of a danda made of sugar cane country overheard. People were memories of their homeland here. Did I think a lot when I was young that the old lift. It was not big countryside. I was born 70 years ago and I like our home. Do you think every time you come here when I was a kid. Hey even I'm not. No, I am so young.

Nací hace 70 años y me gusta nuestra casa. ¿Cree usted que cada vez que vienen aquí cuando yo era un niño. Hey Yo incluso no soy. no, yo soy tan joven .

A Series of Unfortunate Events in Medellin, Colombia Ep. 3 (Travel Diary)
Hola chicos -- thanks for joining me during this two weeks from hell in Medellin, Colombia.
As most of you already know, I am currently off budget backpacking through South America, and this vlog is apart of a whole South America travel series. Right now, I am backpacking in Colombia.
In this episode, we begin in Santa Marta trying to track down Lizard’s lost wallet. Prior to this event, she and I spent an entire week in the small mountain village, Minca, Colombia. I spent my days digging into my school work and editing videos, and Liz was a regular at the local yoga studio for the week.
However, on the bus from Minca to Santa Marta, Colombia, Liz sat down her wallet and half of her wet clothes on a bus and walked off without it. For a few hours, this was a nightmare. Fortunately, her wallet and clothes hadn’t moved and we found the exact minibus we had traveled on. Pfff, that was a close one.
Next, we hope on 16 hour, overnight bus to Medellin, Colombia. The bus was long and it sucked. Not much else to tell about this part of the journey.
Upon arrival in Medellin, it became evident Medellin was a fast moving place, and we needed to get on board and fast. The crime rate is intense here. Each time I walked outside, someone stopped me and told me to take a new safety precaution.
--Basic safety rules for Medellin, Colombia—
1. Absolutely NO electronics visible. Either leave them at the hostel and locked up or always keep them hidden.
2. Do not keep valuables in your pockets. There are master pick picketers in the city, and I have many friends who are still perplexed as to how their iPhone 7 was stolen out of their purse.
3. Carry bags on the front. Yes, you will look goofy, but you’ll be much more likely to return with all of your belongings.
I didn’t end up getting any footage of my exploration around the city because of my safety concerns. But, I’ll still fill you in. I went to lots of museums and ate at delicious (and expensive) vegan restaurants.
Then, I venture off to explore Parque Arvi, which sits on the hillside above the city of 2 million. To get here, I navigated 10 blocks in the city, a hectic metro ride, and a pleasant cable car ride. I can’t recommend visiting here enough, just for the cable car ride, which boasted gorgeous views of expansive Medellin. Visit!
Once in Parque Arvi, I bebooped around in the woods and wrote poetry. I think it is probably bad poetry (I can’t tell lol), but no shame! I share my poetry with you anyways. Also, I make a crack about the jaguar threat here in Colombia, which is totally a think. THEN, a giant black dog runs out at me. It was terrifying.
Now, it isn’t a Kaia Cloudsurfer vlog without a little bit of drama, so the next series of events starts to get ugly and moves pretty quickly. Might as well just number this one…
1. I can’t sleep at my hostel. The dudes their literally blast music until 7:00 am every morning.
2. I get locked in the shower for an hour.
I get bed bug bites… ON MY FACE.
3. I bring the bed bugs to the next hostel I stay at. They came with me in my bags.
4. I have to wash all of my belongings and bags. It costed around $20 USD.
5. The pollution makes me sick — really, REALLY sick.
But guys, I save you from listening to hours of my complaining and just cut the vlog to a few days later, when I can actually function. And, I head off to the Colombian countryside to heal my lungs.
...Next time…
We’re off to Guatape, Colombia to see El Penol and chill out at Pablo Escubar's house that was bombed in the famous Cali bombing. Also, I meet THE funniest girls I’ve ever met and we relax poolside for the next week.
Thanks for watching, guys!

Abandoned $10,000,000 Mansion of Pablo Escobar (paint balled inside!)
The best gift you can buy for christmas:
So while in Medellin Colombia, we couldn't resist going to explore Pablo Escobar's abandoned mansion. He's a very controversial figure in the country, so we're obviously not trying to glorify him or his history simply documenting his ruins.. and taking the chance to have some fun paint-balling.
