Priča o arheološkom nalazištu Medijana kod Niša
Digital Reconstruction of Roman military barracks on Mediana (Nis, Serbia)

Digital reconstruction and development of three-dimensional models of buildings from the archaeological site,, Mediana is a project of Arhimedia group within Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis.
As the primary tool for modeling was used SketchUp.
The subject of modeling and reconstruction are military barracks and buildings that surrounded Horeum- warehouse for food and goods, which was located near the summer palace and a villa with peristyle on Mediana site.
The current results of excavating show that an object was composed of two long structures forming almost a right angle, the dimensions of bigger structure were about 270mx15m, and for small one 130mx15m. Given the size of the excavated building and layout of rooms within them, there is a presumption that beside usage of object as a barracks for soldiers, it was exploited for other purposes, such as the stables, blacksmith shop, armory etc.

Constantine,[4][5] was Roman Emperor from 306 to 337. Well known for being the first Roman emperor to convert to Christianity,[notes 4] Constantine reversed the persecutions of his predecessor, Diocletian, and issued the Edict of Milan in 313, which proclaimed religious tolerance of Christians throughout the empire.
Constantine was born in Naissus, Upper Moesia, on 27 February in roughly AD 285. Another account places the year at about AD 272 or 273.
After Constantine's death in 337, the imperial residence in Mediana was used by several other emperors, either as a place of rest on their long journeys or during preparations for war.
