Meesapulimala is the highest peak in the Western Ghats of Idukki district on the Indian subcontinent after Anamudi. Its peak is 2,640 metres above sea level. . The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram (ராமேஸ்வரம்) cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath. With its immense aesthetic beauty enveloped in a mystical charm, Danushkodi is a small island near Rameshwaram. Walk in to the clear waters that surround this tiny land and get wowed by the myriad hues of the sea life here. Find religious solace in the multiple temples that dot this place or simply go camera crazy and capture these panoramic views in your lens. Locate on Google Maps: How to reach Dhanushkodi beach Ram Setu Rameswaram: Flights are available to Tuticorin airport and is about 215 kms away from Dhanushkodi. Kolukkumalai is about 7,130 feet (2,170 m) above sea level and lies some 32 kilometres (20 mi) from Munnar. The hill top village is accessible only by jeep due to rugged and rain drenched roads covering upto 17 km. It is about a one and a half hour journey from Munnar town. The exact location of kolukkumalai is in Theni district (Tamilnadu). The approach road is via Suryanelli in Idukki district of Kerala.

MEESAPULIMALA HIGHEST TREKKABLE PLACE IN SOUTH INDIA (HEAVEN ON EARTH) Meesapulimala is the second highest peak in the Western Ghats of Idukki district on the Indian subcontinent after Anamudi. Its peak is 2,640 metres (8,661 ft) above sea level.
The name derives from the fact that it is formed of eight hills which spread like a moustache and it is one of the most difficult mountain to climb over and it is located in suriyanelli around 20km away from munnar.
