40 years ago, Taman Melawati was a rubber plantation known as Hawthornton Estate. Today, Taman Melawati is an established and affluent residential precinct with a bright future – the area is part of an urban redevelopment initiative which will transform it into the commercial and lifestyle hub north-east of Kuala Lumpur (KL).
