Reviewing the Mercer Caverns Tour.... Mehhh
We completed the tour. I'm sure that the tour guide was drunk and I saw him vape while down in the cave. It was an experience. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe. :)

Morning cave tour at Mercer Caverns
Mercer Caverns, with an inebriated tour guide. DRUNK and walking on steep stairs. VERY DANGEROUS
A video tour of Mercer Caverns, with an inebriated tour guide. Alcohol, and steep staircases?!?! Not a good mix. VERY DANGEROUS! It was a little better than some of the other caves I have toured. It's not bad for $17 a person, but it could have been better. Please subscribe :)
Back story:
We tried to go exploring in an abandoned town, but that didn't pan out. Things were too spread out, and there were too many people still living there. The abandoned homes (if there were any) were all far off the road, down gated driveways. Every time we thought we saw a bando, there were people near by. Kids playing outside. Farmers farming. People working on cars. Also, when we saw a building that was DEFINITELY an abandoned shop or store, it was on the same property as two other functioning buildings. If anyone knows about Sheep Ranch, California, and where there are actually abandoned places that can be accesed, please let us know. Anyhoo, we ended up going on towards Murphy's. On the way we saw Mercer Caverns, and stopped.
We took our exploring gear in to the store/lobby area. There were about 8 people in there, including kids, and a small dog off a leash. The dog immediately ran to me (as dogs almost always do for some reason), and I petted it. We figured they were there to go in the caverns too, and they were in line already. We took the opportunity to relieve ourselves, which brings me to the first issue. As I was unzipping there was a VERY LOUD bang on the door. Like the cops do when they are about to kick in the door. A male voice said something, but I couldn't understand over the fan. I said what?. More banging. This time I had already re-zipped, and moved over to the door, so I could hear him. He shouted there's no trash in there!. I didn't care, but I opened the door anyway. Instead of just setting it down, he makes me leave, and use a different bathroom. His attitude was so thick, I could cut it with a knife. He gave the vibe that I was a complete idiot, and a big asshole. It was really rude. Move ahead, we start shopping in their store, still waiting for the other people to finish up. Mind you it has been about 7 minutes. The cashier frikin yells at us HEY! You two goin' on the tour or what?!. I said yeah. We're just looking around for a minute.. Then a third person yelled at us. He said something about hurrying up, but it was grumbly, and I didn't cath it all. My wife and I looked at eachother, and almost decided to skip it based on the attitude problems of the staff. However, I suggested that we won't have to put up with that in the caves, because the tour guide will be a different person. (WRONG. It was the grumbly guy that took us.)
We went to the counter to buy entrance, and they rudely told us $34. She printed out the receipt, and demanded you'll sign here., at which point she set the pen down hard on the receipt. Wife and I exchanged glances again (still not knowing who the guide would be), and I signed the receipt.
Then they tell us that we can't take anything in with us but a camera. No food, no backpacks, no flashlights, no extra cameras, and no smoking of any kind. We went out to the car, and put all but a camera each away. The guide started yelling at us from the entrance to hurry up, or we'll be left behind. From 100 yards away, we could still see the other people in the store, so, we figured we had a second to eat a bite of food. Then the guy really started yelling. So we ran over there, only to find out we were the only ones on the tour............. Why would we get left behind? GRRR! We almost left, but we had paid. It was at this point that we saw who was yelling, and it was the grumpy grumbly guy. If we hadn't paid $34....... Then the little dog decided to join us, which you see in the video. I should have kept rolling. It would have been the most interesting thing in the video. They had to chase it down the stairs, and grab it. Our tour was very hasty. The tour guuide moved his flashlight around too fast for me to keep up with him. He never let us talk, except to answer his questions. He only let us chill in a spot one time, AND THAT WAS SO HE COULD VAPE!!! We both know exactly what it was, and why he walked away. The whole time we had to walk in his booze breath trail. I farted a bunch of times to get back at him. Nice loud echoing ones.
Once we got outside, he clocked out, and went home in like 2 minutes. Clearly, the entire rush situation was an attempt to get home earlier. I bet they were all pissed when we showed up, because they were going to close early or something. That's typical of Calaveras county. The residents love to jump in front of you on the 55MPH highway, and then go like 45. It happens at least once every time I drive to town. Then they look at us like we are assholes for being so close behind them, when in fact, they are lucky our brakes work so well, and we didn't slam into them, or swerve off the road. Just a heads up for if you visit Calaveras.

Angels Camp Trip
My wife and myself discovered this gem in Calaveras County. Usually our go to when it comes to wine tasting is Sonoma or Napa. I highly sugest you try this place during summer. It is hot but it is the same for other places in summer. Ironstone vineyard is pretty cool. They have small museum. They have concerts during summer weekends. There are several vineyards and winery in Murphy, which is few minutes away from Angels Camp. Mercer Cavers cave tour was amazing. I love seing rock fomations. It was pretty cool how they managed to preserve the cave. Lots of activities, such as water rafting, ziplining and wall climbing. It is 2.5-3 hours away from San Francisco.
