In this video, I take a break from all the RV product review videos I've been doing lately and spend a day enjoying summer. Also, our new Ram 3500 diesel truck needs a good highway run every once in a while.
So, Anne and I headed up to nearby Mount Washington Alpine Resort to take in the views. It was a reasonably clear warm day the scenery did not disappoint, you could see for miles and miles and miles and miles.
Highlights of the visit besides spectacular panoramic view were Whiskey Jack birds landing our hands, the chair lift ride to the mountain top and a lovely lunch at the Alpine Courtyard Café.
After Mount Washington, we finish our day trip with visits to Comox Marina Park, Pacific Playgrounds RV Resort and view the recent chainsaw log carvings in Frank James Park near Campbell River.
All and all a mighty fine summer day on Vancouver Island!

Taylor’s Sandy Beach Resort on Saratoga Beach, Black Creek, B.C.
Taylor's sandy beach resort is located in
Black Creek, British Columbia. It's half way in between Courtney
and Campbell River.
Taylors has a mixture of cabins and condo's where guests can stay.
We always stay in the condos as they have the best view. By the way
Taylor's has the best sandy beach on the entire strip by far.
You can even swim in the water as it does get warm in the summer.
Lots of activities you can enjoy, renting kayaks, hiking, fishing
and many things the whole family can do together.
We visit the resort every summer and plan to do so for many years
to come. We have tried the other resorts on Saratoga beach and they
were not the same for us.
If you are looking for a great family vacation, you can't go wrong
with Taylors Sandy Beach Resort.
I hope you like my review and if you should want to call them for
more information, here is their number and address:

Paradise Meadows mount Washington | Vancouver Island
Paradise Meadows mount Washington is in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island What a great and easy day walk, the trail is about 4.2 Km return, actually it's a loop and provides ample opportunity for the adventurist photographer. Honestly except for mid day its a great place to photography.

Booze Ban at Select Campgrounds
MIRACLE BEACH - The Victoria Day long weekend is fast approaching, a chance for many of us on Vancouver Island to pack up to spend a couple days in a tent or trailer.
Essential supplies like a sleeping bag and flashlight are usually a given, and for many so is a cooler full of beer, wine, or something else to drink.
But for campers in other parts of the country, provincial and national parks are banning booze in their campgrounds, at least on busy long weekends.
What about here on Vancouver Island and the rest of BC? Should a ban be in place, and how would you enforce it?
Go Campbell River Paradise Meadows, Strathcona Park, Vancouver Island
Paradise Meadows is a favourite accesses to the alpine meadows of Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island. The myriad of trail networks within these meadows appeal to almost everyone from very small children to person's with handicaps because of the ease of access and the simplicity of these alpine trail networks.
Much of the smaller networks within the Paradise Meadows systems have boardwalks so access is made much less complicated for persons with disabilities.
Access is achieved via the Nordic parking lot at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, a short 47 minute drive from Campbell River and a 39 minute drive from downtown Courtenay in the Comox Valley.
The trail head for hiking or mountain climbing is well marked, there is plenty of parking and there are washrooms at the trail head. The Strathcona Wilderness Institute is in attendance at their new interpretive hut at the entrance to the amazing and colourful alpine tundra of Paradise Meadows trails
The Strathcona Wilderness Institute volunteers are there to answer any questions about the history of Strathcona Park, the history of Paradise Meadows and Forbidden Plateau, and anything question you may imagine about the birds, the flora and the fauna that encompass this rich and ancient alpine garden.
The hiking trails of Paradise Meadows range from short and easy, ranging from a casual 1/2 hour stroll to the assertive and sometimes aggressive climbs to the top of Mt Albert Edward, Castle Craig, Mt Brooks, the Cruickshank, Helen McKenzie, Moat Lake, Forbidden Plateau, Battleship Lake Loop, Mt Regan, Mt Frink and if you are very ambitious and have lots of time, Mount Becher.
