Mission Santa Rosalia de Mulege
Mission Santa Rosalía de Mulegé was founded in 1705 by the Jesuit missionary Juan Manuel de Basaldúa at a ranchería of the local Cochimí which was known as Mulegé, in Baja California Sur, Mexico. The site lies near the entrance of Bahía de Concepción, on the Gulf of California coast.

Hacienda de la Habana Campground Review
Hacienda de la Habana is a green oasis in the oasis town of Mulege. On an orange grove and surrounded by working farms, there is plenty of shade and greenery to give the weary desert traveler a nice change of pace. We paid 350 pesos for FHU/night.
Approximately one hundred meters down the road you can also purchase a whole bag full of fresh veggies straight from the farm. A big bag cost us 75 pesos which comes to about $4 USD.
Although it is about 3 km down a dirt road, we were traveling with a truck and trailer and got there just fine. There were also Class A's and other large campers there when we visited, so it is worth the trek. Although we more or less followed the directions from Mike & Terri Church's Baja Campground Book, once we located the RV Park sign, we were able to follow the signage directly to the campground.
Some of the cons of this campground. The dirt road in to the campground is a long one. I can't imagine trying to navigate it after a rain storm. There is only one bathroom and shower but it seems that most campers are showering in their rigs. The water pooled at the bottom of the shower, so there was a bit of a slow drain when we were there. The price is a bit high for the location.
Some things that we appreciated: having free unlimited access to the oranges and the on site juicer, the security, the wifi, the full hook ups, the friendly staff, and the warm water and nice pressure in the shower. Oh, and they also provide toilet paper, hand towels, and hand soap in the bathroom. This seems to be lacking in most campgrounds in Baja.
Overall we really liked this campground and would definitely stay here again.

Misión Santa-Rosalía de Mulegé
Completed in 1766, the Misión Santa-Rosalía de Mulegé was a starting point for the establishment of the missions in San Ignacio and Purisima. It was then abandoned in 1828 due to the dwindling population. It has since been lovingly restored as a result of the increase in population inline with the economic development of the area.
We were lucky enough to visit on a Saturday at 10 am and it was open! It is a little unclear what their hours of operation actually are, but we took a gamble and it worked out.
Not only is the architecture beautiful, but the view of the Mulege River Oasis from the lookout point is awe-inspiring. The greenery around the river is lovely and you can even walk across the dam at the point where the mission path leads to the river.
We highly recommend stopping and checking out this attraction. It was well worth the stop and the pictures taken here will be constant reminders of the unique charm and diversity of Baja.

Mission San Ignacio : Santa Rosalia : Mulege Baja California
The mission in San Ignacio was amazing.
Feeling the energy and smelling the history was moving.
We are so grateful that we get to travel and see such beautiful places.
Curtis has some mad driving skills on the tight roads in the little towns. Some places we only had inches on either side of us.
Our Baja adventure just keeps getting better.
Our camp in Mulege was so perfectly landscaped and groomed. The owner of this resort pays meticulous attention to every detail and it shows.
It was quiet and a nice retreat from the desert. And hands down the best bathroom so far.!
