Greece's Peloponnese
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | After enjoying Greece's charming old port town of Nafplio, we'll time-trip through the ruins of Olympia, take center stage at the remarkably preserved theater at Epidavros, and explore the ancient capital of Mycenae. Then we'll wander off the beaten path along the rustic, rough-and-tumble Mani Peninsula, relax in the idyllic beach town of Kardamyli, and marvel at Greece's Rock of Gibraltar: the fortress town of Monemvasia.

BRITISH MUSEUM: LOOTED RARE 5th century BC TOMBSTONES from ATHENS ????️ (GREECE)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the world famous British Museum in beautiful London and let's visit four very rare tombstones from the ancient city of Athens in Greece. These tombstones were located in a cemetery around 450 BC when Athens was the center of the Hellenistic world and when it was experiencing the heights of its glory. These tombstones were removed from Greece around the same time (early 1800s) Lord Elgin removed the marbles from the Parthenon from the Acropolis in Athens. Enjoy!!

Greece
Start in Athens, travel the Peloponnese and wind up in Thessaloniki. Greece is an art lover's and food lover's delight (before you eat and drink too much in the Plaka, remember you have to save room for baklava!).
The crowning pinnacle on the Acropolis, the Parthenon commands the city below it. Visit the ancient agora (shopping center), temple of Olympian Zeus, the Kerameikos Cemetery, Tower of the Winds and objects from many museums from ancient, Byzantine and Medieval times, from Jewish and Christian cultures. For excursions, bus to Cape Sounion to enjoy sunset high above the sea at the Poseidon Temple. The day cruise to the Saronic Islands of Hydra, Paros and Aegina was enjoyable.
Travel through the hilly Peloponnese to Corinth, Epidaurus (amphitheater),Mycenae (the lion gate and tomb of Atreus), Olympia (Temple of Zeus) and on to Delphi, where the long climb up the sacred way rewards one with treasures along the way and great views from the top. At the museum you'll find the famed bronze Charioteer.
The medieval monasteries of Meteora, precariously perched on rocky promontories, adds another dimension and a great finale to this leg.
From Thessaloniki up north, spoke out to Lefkadia, Pella, Dion and Vergina for Macedonian artifacts and excavations including the tombs of Philip of Macedon and his grandson Alexander IV, son of Alexander the Great.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.

SUMMARY
=======
Aegina (; Greek: Αίγινα, Aígina [ˈeʝina], Ancient Greek: Αἴγῑνα) is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece in the Saronic Gulf, 27 kilometres (17 miles) from Athens. Tradition derives the name from Aegina, the mother of the hero Aeacus, who was born on the island and became its king. During ancient times Aegina was a rival of Athens, the great sea power of the era.
