Mount Kinabalu (Malay: Gunung Kinabalu) is a prominent mountain on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. It is located in the East Malaysian state of Sabah and is protected as Kinabalu National Park, a World Heritage Site. Kinabalu is the highest peak in Borneo's Crocker Range and is the highest mountain in the Malay Archipelago. Mount Kinabalu is also the 20th most prominent mountain in the world by topographic prominence. Here I showed the beauty of the mountain from the Kinabalu Golf Club. It was amazing and worth the trip.

The oldest golf club in Sabah, Malaysia. Located in Kudat, a town on the tip of Borneo and three hours drive (160 kilometers) north of Kota Kinabalu. It was upgraded into an 18 hole par-72 layout in 2002 when the new front nine opened and lengthening the total course to 6,080 meters.

Pertama kali dapat job PETRONAS Golf Tournament di Sutera Harbour Golf Club, Kota Kinabalu

Berpeluang pertama kali mendapat tugasan di dalam Golf Tournament anjuran PETRONAS di Sutera Harbour, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, pada 19 Oktober 2019.

Saya tiada pengalaman melakukan tugasan ini. Saya juga tidak pernah masuk ke padang golf. Namun, saya bersyukur kerana tugasan ini dapat dilaksanakan walaupun tidak sempurna. Saya mohon maaf kepada penganjur kalau hasil kerja tidak dapat memenuhi kualiti yang dikehendaki.

Memang penat dengan tugasan ini, tapi terubat dengan view padang golf yang luas, cantik dan bersih berlatarkan bunyi siulan burung dan deru enjin kapal terbang, memang tidak akan dilupakan.

Launching of Big Hole Golf - 1st in Borneo

Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu launched “Big Hole Golf” on 5 May 2016 at the resort’s award-winning Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club with 33 invited players to enjoy a fun nine-hole game. The president of Sabah Golf Association Datuk, George Bandusena, and the resort’s general manager, Jonathan Reynolds, kicked off the event.

Keeping abreast with current trends, Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club showcased its new initiative to club members, corporate clients, travel partners and meeting organisers during the event.

The main difference between big-hole golf and traditional golf is the cup size of the hole – 8 inches, compared with 4.25 inches. Another rule that breaks the tradition is having the flagstick remain in the hole, making it a fast-paced format of the game. Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club will offer big-hole golf as an added option for golf tournaments for those wanting something different by mixing big holes with normal holes.

The regular-sized cup remains at the 18-hole championship golf course; big-hole golf is only available on request and during the monthly Big Hole Golf Day on the first Thursday of every calendar month. Big Hole Golf Day at Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club will commence on 2 June 2016.

Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by golf course architect Ted Parslow. It traverses between the Tambalang and Mengkabong rivers and is set amidst the stunning tropical jungle and wetlands. Beautifully manicured Tifway grass fairways and Tifdwarf greens glide through this natural landscape, with stunning views of the South China Sea and Mount Kinabalu providing the inspiration for golfers of all abilities on this challenging course. Dalit Bay’s clubhouse has all the amenities golfers look for. Among them, an aquatic driving range with 15 bays, chipping area, practice green, pro-shop, Golfers’ Terrace, multi-purpose private function room and The Spa. Adjacent is the five-star Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu that houses several restaurants, a fitness centre, a wide range of recreational activities and the 64-acre Nature Reserve.
