For me, the walk to Mt Misery, Tasmania, was anything but conducive to misery. I had a great time, soaking in the sun and magnificent views, on this 3 hour walk.
To access Mt Misery, drive to Ranelagh, and then make your way to Huon Bush Retreats via North Huon and Browns Road (which gets steep towards the end). I recommend donating at the registration station, as the track's are privately maintained.

No charge for day visitors but a donation is always welcome
