Mount Remarkable National Park
National Parks South Australia is celebrating Mount Remarkable National Park as Park of the Month. Mount Remarkable National Park is best-known for its rugged mountain ranges, dramatic gorges, steep vegetated valleys and exposed red quartzite cliffs, with some of the landscape dating back 800 million years. Located between Spencer Gulf and the southern reaches of the Flinders Ranges, about 240 kilometers from Adelaide’s city centre, it makes for the perfect weekend escape.

COORONG NATIONAL PARK | SOUTH AUSTRALIA | 4x4 Adventure
Amazing part of SA at the mouth of the River Murray. Great for fishing and famous for fresh Coorong Mullet. Many camp sites are accessible by 2WD cars so don't let that hold you back, but if you have a 4WD then it adds another dimension. Tip: take the time to read the warnings on the National Parks website and get familiar with the conditions. Sand dunes are dynamic so conditions change constantly. If four wheel driving, lower your tyre pressures when dune or beach driving to get better traction.

Amazing Waterfall Hike in Belair National Park (Adelaide, Australia)
The amazing waterfall hike and scenic views in Belair National Park were the highlight of my last day in Adelaide. Hiking and exploring South Australia’s capital was an adventure that I’ll remember fondly when reflecting on my time as an exchange student in Australia.

For our last day in Adelaide, En and I decided to go for a hike in Belair National Park to get a last look at some beautiful South Australian nature before heading back to university in Melbourne. We decided to do the waterfall hike, which would lead us through an echo tunnel to two picturesque waterfalls.
The echo tunnel was literally exactly what it sounds like: A tunnel where you can make echoes. I know that doesn’t sound incredibly exciting but we had Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled stuck in our heads all day so we took the opportunity to practice our singing voices (sorry) and have some fun.
After coming out of the echo tunnel and hiking for a while we came up to the lower waterfall lookout, which is the first of the two waterfalls that we’d see in Belair National Park today. The view overlooking the park above the narrow falls cascading over the rock ledge made for a picturesque view on such a bright and sunny day.
As nice as the Lower Waterfall Lookout was, our next stop at the Upper Waterfall Lookout was really the highlight of my day.
Before En and I could walk into the falls though, we had to climb down a fairly steep cliff. I wasn’t sure if I was even going to film the way down since I thought that I might hurt myself, but luckily both of us were able to get down to the falls without a scratch and I managed to record a little as well.
Once we were down, we had a very cool opportunity to walk in behind and right through the waterfall. Both of us had a really fun time playing around in the water. We got to see some of the best views we had come across all trip and also had a really good opportunity to take some unique and memorable photos.
After cooling down under the falls, En and I climbed back up the cliff. A strap on my bag unfortunately broke on the way up, but it was totally worth it to get under that amazing waterfall. Once we had sorted ourselves, En and I continued on to the end of the waterfall hike in Belair National Park.
