Day3 Andaman: complete tour guide: Baratang, lime sone cave, Mud volcano: DIY Tour
I have visited Andaman for enjoying my vacation, At the time of trip planning I faced many difficulties due to less information available on internet which forced me to consult many paid travel agencies.
I thought of making a series of videos explaining the Do's and Don'ts and many tips for making your Andaman trip easy and cheaper
I feel there is no need to consult any travel agencies for Andaman Trip
I have created day wise videos of different places to visit in port Blair Havelock and places nearby.
Day 1:
Day 1- On day 1, I visited places in Port Blair like Ross Island, Cellular Jail, Joggers Park, Abradeen Jetty and many more.....
Watch the videos for Hotel Booking, Passes, Route Maps, Ship Timings and many more.
I have shared below some useful websites which I referred while planning my Trip.
Day 2:
Day2-On Day 2, I Visited places like Jolly Buoy Island (paradise in Port Blair must visit), Chidiya Tapu, Munda Pahad etc...
I have given instructions for getting entry passes and tickets for Jolly Buoy Island Entry, no need to pay money to any agents or agencies for booking tickets or passes, all things you can do by yourself without any legal complication.....
Day3:
Day3-On Day 3, I visited Baratang Island.
Bucket listed places in Baratang Island are - Lime stone cave, mud volcano, Mangrove forest boat ride.
One day trip to Baratang Island through tribal reserve of Andaman was Eye Catching

The Great Mud volcano In The Baratang Island | Andaman Island - HD
Baratang, less commonly known as Baratang Island, (coordinates: 12°07′N 92°47′E) is an island in the Andaman Islands, India, with an area of approximately 238 square kilometres (92 sq mi). It is one of the main islands of the Great Andaman group, a closely set archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, adjoining the Andaman Sea. Middle Andaman is to its north, and South Andaman to the south. The islands of Ritchie's Archipelago lie some 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the east. Port Blair, the capital of the Indian Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is located approximately 100 kilometres (62 mi) to the south.
Baratang contains the only known examples of mud volcanoes in India. These mud volcanoes have erupted sporadically, with recent eruptions in 2005 believed to have been associated with the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. The previous major eruption recorded was on 18 February 2003. The locals call this mud volcano jalki.
There are other volcanoes in the area. The Barren Island volcano which is the only active volcano in South Asia and the Narcondum volcano which is considered to be a potentially active volcano. Sources -

Thanks for watching this video. Do like, share and subscribe my channel.
This mud volcano is one more main attraction for visitors travelling in Andaman islands. Though this Volcano is nature's wonder, it may disappoint the people who see this physically. This Volcano is nearer to Baratang Jetty of Andaman islands (middle Andaman). It takes atleast a day to visit this place and return to Port Blair. People have to travel through road in a Jarwan tribal reserve and cross the sea at Baratang jetty. After crossing the sea people reach the Uttara Jetty . From Uttara Jetty this place is 20 minutes journey by road.

Mud volcano eruption in Andaman ???? ????
These mud volcanoes were found deep in the forests of Diglipur, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. They were very much active and spouting bubbles and flow of mud all around the place.
The mud found in mud volcanoes is usually formed as water heated deep below the Earth's surface mixes and blends with subterranean mineral deposits. This creates the mud slurry exudate which is then forced upwards due to local subterranean pressure imbalances through a geological fault or fissure.

MUD VOLCANO IN ANDAMAN by Sayak Saha
I shot this video in Baratang Island, Middle Andaman, near Jarawa Creek. A mad volcano is a amazing thing of nature. A regular volcano erupts lava and ash, but a mud volcano erupts mud and gases. The mud flow is not hot, it's really cold. But it destroys vegetation and any thing in its high risk zone. This mud flow creates new islands. Pyrite is the most common mineral which is found in Mud Flow. There are eleven mud volcano found in Andaman of which 8 are located in Baratang Island and Middle Andaman and 3 are located in the North Andaman. Please watch this video. I'm waiting for your Likes and Comments. Thank You.

This Volcano is nearer to Baratang Jetty of Andaman islands (middle Andaman). It takes atleast a day to visit this place and return to Port Blair.
People have to travel through road in a Jarwan tribal reserve (forest area) and cross the sea at Baratang jetty. After crossing the sea people reach the Uttara Jetty . From Uttara Jetty this place is 20 minutes journey by road.
The standard package for this trip includes Limestone Caves also. After crossing the Baratang jetty, travellors first go towards Limestone Caves and then return back to the same Uttara Jetty. The Sea Journey and the Journey through Mangrooves is a memorable one.
From Uttara Jetty visitors have to travel towards Mud Volcano which is only 20minutes journey. Vehicles reach nearer to mud volcano and then the place can be reached by 10minutes walk. There is a small hut constructed nearer to volcano erruption to take rest and relax. Details are available on boards regarding the Mud Volcano the site.
People return to Uttara jetty area after visiting Mud Volcano and can take lunch here. Normal south Indian meals available with very limited menu.

TRIBES OF ANDAMAN - Jarawa, Sentinelese, Onge || Baratang & Limestone Caves | Andaman | Ch-4, Day-3
The journey is often more beautiful than the destination. This statement holds completely true for this day.
We booked our cab (6-seater) a day before for the Baratang Islands. It cost us around Rs 4000 for the complete journey to and fro. Don't forget to negotiate.
Port Blair - Baratang is around 100 km. We started our journey at 6 am. The checkpoint in Jirketang opens at 9 am and the distance from Port Blair is around 52kms.
The cab has to then move through in a convey for about 48 km through the Jarawa forest reserve. The forest ride is amazingly surreal and if lucky enough, you can spot some Jarawas going about their daily life.
The forest reserve leads to a Jetty from where you can board a ship to the Baratang. The ship ride takes about 10-15 mins.
After reaching Baratang, buy the tickets for the limestone caves from the ticket counter. Ferry Cost per person - Rs 700.
After about 15 mins of roller coaster ride, you will reach very near to your destination. You need to then walk for about 1.5 km to reach the Limestone Caves.
Trust us, this experience of the entire day will be etched in your memory forever.

Baratang Island away from 100 Km from Port Blair, belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district. The trip from Capital is considered as an adventurous trip. The main attractions at Baratang are The Limestone Caves and Mud Volcano. Another delightful place to see in Baratang is Parrot Island. The area where you might get the possibility of seeing the Jarawa tribes by the roadside. But you can't interact or any other activity with them. It is strictly prohibited and is a punishable offense.
