How to get to Nusa Lembongan?
-Just a 30 minute boat ride away from Sanur, Bali, are three Nusa Islands. Nusa Lembongan is one of the islands outside of Bali.
Nusa Lembongan can be reached by a variety of boats. In this video, I went with Rocky Cruises, as they have a good reputation for being safe.
Where to stay in Nusa Lembongan?
-I stayed at a hotel called Dini D'Nusa. I recommend it as it is quiet, affordable, and clean. If you are traveling on a budget or are a backpacker, you can find cheaper places though. This place is ideal for couples or for a honeymoon in Nusa Lembongan.
Where to eat in Nusa Lembongan?
-There are plenty of restaurants. In this video, I check out a restaurant called 'Mama Mia Bar and Grill'. The food was good and priced well. If you are planning to getting to Nusa Lembongan, you should check it out!

Nusa Lembongan Day Trip with WakaSailing by Aussie Adventuress
There’s many ways to take a day trip to Nusa Lembongan. There is no bridge connecting the island to Bali mainland. So the only way across is via boat however there’s many types of boats that you can take.
You could opt for a speed boat, cruise boat, sailing, or even a traditional boat.
If you’re looking for speed the best way to get there is from Sanur and there are many boats departing from there daily.
We chose to go for a more luxury sailing experience instead.
Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia - Island Tour || Mushroom & Dream Beach || Devil's Tear || Sunset Point
Nusa Lembongan is approximately 8km² in size and is one of three neighbouring islands, the others being much larger Nusa Penida and tiny Nusa Ceningan (also covered by this article). The three islands are separated from Bali by the Badung Strait. Some visitors may find Nusa Lembongan a little slow after the pace of South Bali.
Many areas around the island are good for diving and snorkeling, with abundant marine life and healthy coral. Surfing can get a bit crowded, but the waves are good. There are several white sand beaches away from the main centres which are virtually never crowded. There is a flourishing and well established seaweed farming industry here, and many visitors find it interesting to learn about this.
Orientation
Two main beach areas have traditionally attracted visitors.
Southeast Nusa Lembongan with the hills of Nusa Penida in the background
Jungut Batu in the northwest is the bigger of the two, and has myriad hotels and cheap eateries. This is the area which traditionally attracted backpackers and surfers to the island. The white sand beach here is pleasant enough but nothing to get too excited about, and it is a little narrow in places. In more recent times, the hillside to the south of Jungut Batu known as the Bukit (the hill) has been developed and has attracted some higher level hotels and private villas. The views from the Bukit are perhaps second to none on Nusa Lembongan. Sunsets are best viewed along the main Jungut Batu beachfront.
Mushroom Bay to the southwest of Jungut Batu is a quaint, attractive and sheltered bay. It is an especially nice spot after 15:00 when the day trippers have returned to Bali, and it has a great white sandy beach, along with some cosy little water-side restaurants.
Further south, the lesser known beaches either side of the Devil's Tear outcrop, known as Dream Beach, one of the most beautiful in Bali and Sunset Beach (or Sandy Bay), are increasingly drawing more visitors. The coastal landscape in this part of the island is mostly low-lying limestone cliffs, and there are some dramatic cave formations. A beautiful view can be seen from the cliff at the right side of the Dream beach, especially at the sunset.
The north end of the island is fringed by an important mangrove forest, and the eastern side of the island is separated from neighbouring Nusa Ceningan by a shallow estuarine channel.
The main population centre of the island is Lembongan Village in the southern interior, and it is here that you will find the homes of many traditional island families.
Sanur to Nusa Lembongan | Beaches and Devil's Tear | Bali Part 5
Bali offers a ton of day trips and outings so this weekend we made our way to the well known Nusa Islands. The trio of Nusa Penida, Lembongan, and Cenningan are only a 30-minute speed boat from Sanur pier, with Nusa Penida being the most famous of the 3, we started our weekend on Nusa Lembongan.
We drove half an hour from our Airbnb located slightly south of Canggu (check out our Airbnb tour here) to Sanur Pier to start with a sunrise. We bought our ticket transfer to Nusa Lembongan at the pier and began our exploration of the Islands with some beach time and ended the day with a sunset at Devil's Tear.

In this video we make our way from Sanur to Nusa Lembongan, Bali.
We caught an early fast boat from Sanur which dropped us off at Jungut Batu Beach. We then made our way to the Sanghyang Bay Villas in Mushroom Bay. We spent most of the day relaxing around the resort and then headed down to the beach to find something for dinner. We ended up at the Hai Bar and Grill.
While on Nusa Lembongan we stayed at the Sanghyang Bay Villas. We spent 5 nights here and we really loved it! Would definitely stay here again. Check it out here ➡️

A high speed boat leaves from Sanur Bali 45 minute duration. There is no dock at Sanur, prepare to take your shoes off and get wet to your knees. They will take your belongings on board, but they just put them anywhere, stay with your group, before boarding is kind chaotic, stay with your group. There is no dock at Nusa Lembongan either... wet legs again.... Correction: The boat leaves Sanur and arrives in Nusa Lembongan not Nusa Penida.
