12 AMAZING Things to do in Yountville, California: Napa Valley Travel Guide
Yountville is most definitely Napa Valley’s friendliest town and has some incredible wine, food, wellness and hospitality! I flew up for a fun-filled 48 hours in lovely Yountville and have put together a travel guide with some wonderful suggestions on how to spend your time in #YountvilleCA
1. Art Walk, stroll Yountville.
#Yountville is that rare gem in #NapaValley where you can actually do a ton on foot! Take advantage of this major convenience in Yountville and bounce around the wine tasting rooms, shops, hotels and restaurants all while taking in some wonderful art!
2. Stay at Hotel Yountville
This was my second time staying at Hotel Yountville and I absolutely loved it! The rooms are fabulous, the staff is so accommodating and they have expanded to quite an impressive property!
3. Cocktails by the pool at Hotel Yountville
This is the perfect way to wind down from a busy day or get the party started! You will most likely be drinking a lot of wine, so I thoroughly enjoyed the variety and creativity of the cocktail menu.
4. Dinner at RH Restaurant at RH Hardware
RH Restaurant is part of the five-building RH Yountville Compound, an integration of food, wine, art and design. Get ready for jaw-dropping moments and excellent eats and vino!
5. Hot Air Balloon Ride
This has been on my bucket list for over a decade, so I was thrilled to finally go on a #hotairballoon ride! Hotel Yountville offers a package with Napa Valley Aloft. This is a great way to see Napa Valley from a completely different perspective. Be ready to wake up early!
6. Stay at Hotel Villagio
Another wonderful hotel to stay at in Yountville is Hotel Villagio. This is an impressive property with a wonderful breakfast buffet, lots of communal areas, fun photo ops at a little vineyard next door, a great bar and beautiful spa. There is also a fun house jeep that can drop you at dinner.
7. Breakfast Buffet at Hotel Villagio
Don't miss the most important meal of the day!
8. Spa Day at Spa at the Estate
Let's be honest, drinking wine and eating awesome food is hard work! You deserve a break!
9.. Lunch at Coqueta Napa Valley
Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and let me tell you Michael Chiarello and his team represented! This was a total highlight of my time in Yountville and the food is killer! I highly suggest starting off your meal with their house gin and tonic.
10. Wine and Cheese Tasting at Silver Trident Winery
When you visit Silver Trident Winery, you feel like you are walking into your Aunt's home in Tuscany and enjoying wine and cheese with family. This aunt also has impeccable taste because everything is exclusively Ralph Lauren Home and available for purchase!
11. Wine Tasting at Handwritten Wines
Evocative wines, elevated vineyards and a truly unique #winetasting experience. This was my first stop upon landing in Napa Valley and a fantastic way to kick off my trip! The private tasting room is beautiful and this is a truly special opportunity to gain an education about wine and wine tasting. And the wines are so good!
12.. Dinner at Lucy Restaurant and Bar at Bardessono
If you can't stay at Bardessono, then a meal at Lucy is the next best thing! The food is phenomenal, the service is perfection with some of the best voices I've ever heard (legit these guys could all have a side hustle as voice-over artists), and you can enjoy a stroll around the property. Oh and be sure to visit the bathroom, I can never pass up a Japanese toilet.
I hope you enjoyed my #travelvlog and Napa Valley #travelguide through Yountville, CA. This place truly has my heart and I can't wait to go back!

NOURISH - Napa Valley Museum
The table. A place where people come together. Artist Nancy Willis wants us to notice the labor, the attention to detail, or the visual artist whose work is contributing to your next dining experience. NOURISH at the Napa Valley Museum reminds us to celebrate the beauty, strength, and relativity of the visual arts as a vital source of daily nourishment.
Let's pull artists and chefs together and see what happens.

Napa & Sonoma Wine Country, California, USA - Drone
Napa & Sonoma Wine Country: Castello Di Amorosa, Ledson, Peju Province, Artesa, Sterling, Far Niente, Darioush, Clos Pegase, Robert Mondavi, Opus One, Domaine Carneros, Quixote, Ferrari-Carano, Del Dotto Estate, Chateau Montelena, Bale Grist Mill & Beringer
The Napa & Sonoma Valley is one of the most scenic and beautiful wine country to visit in Northern California. October is a perfect month because the fall colors turns to red & gold which showcases a more dramatic hills & valleys of the vineyards. Because Napa is very close to where we live, my wife and I often spend our weekends there because of its beauty and great places to eat. When I got my first drone, it is here where I practiced aerial videos and revisited the same places where we had gone before for photography. To this day, we are still discovering new wineries and restaurants.
There are over 430 Wineries in Napa Valley and over 380 wineries in Sonoma Valley. An astounding 95% of Napa Valley wineries are family-owned. It was The Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, known as the Judgment of Paris event which placed Napa Valley on the map worldwide. This blind, comparative tasting pitted Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from California against the best wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy in a blind tasting. When the tasting was done, the judges had given top honors to Chateau Montelena Chardonnay and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. Napa Valley would never be the same and transformed Napa Valley into one of the premiere wine regions in the world.
Charles Krug is credited with establishing Napa Valley's first commercial winery in 1861: including Schramsberg (founded in 1862), Beringer (1876) and Inglenook (1879).
Aside for its wines (especially Cabernet Sauvignon wines), Napa Valley is also renowned for its fine and diverse cuisine. In fact, the region’s 100-plus restaurants have won more Michelin stars per capita than any other wine country in the world. Among the popular Michelin-starred restaurants include La Toque, The Restaurant at Auberge and The French Laundry.
Besides its arts & culture, you can go around the valley by biking or hiking, sip beer and spirits, see the Old Faithful geyser in Napa city of Calistoga, attend museums and music festivals, go shopping, and ride a hot-air balloon at sunrise.

Gabe also completed two tours at the Pentagon, where he managed U.S. trade policy for the Defense Technology Security Administration and served as the Afghanistan country director for the Secretary of the Air Force International Affairs. Gabe stood-up and commanded a new squadron of 77 air advisors dedicated to building partnership and partner capacity across Central and South America and the Caribbean. He is a board member with the Solano Community College Educational Foundation, Rebuilding Together Solano, Vacaville Rotary Club, and a trustee with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. I'm really concerned about the legacy we're leaving for the next generation, and the generations to come. When we invest in technologies like solar power, not only does it protect the environment, and reduce our impact on climate change, it drives innovation. Innovation is in the heart of California. As we move forward and put forth new legislation to protect the environment, not only will it ensure our legacy for future generations, but it will ensure that there is an opportunity for California's scientists, California's industry, and California's research to bring forth the next generation of innovative technology to protect our environment, drive our economy, and ultimately, improve our quality of life. - Gabe Griess Cultural attractions in Napa include the Napa Valley Opera House, showcasing a variety of music and performing arts including world-class musical theatre, plays, jazz, chamber music, dance, and opera. The Opera House was recently restored and reopened after being closed for 88 years. The Napa Valley Symphony holds most of its concerts at the Lincoln Theater at the Veterans Home in Yountville (9 miles north of the city of Napa), but performs an annual free concert by the river at Veterans Park in downtown Napa. The Firefighter Museum is another popular Napa attraction, featuring a 1904 horse-drawn steamer, a 1913 Model T Ford, and more. The Jarvis Conservatory is a unique Napa theater devoted to the relatively little known art form of Spanish Opera. Hot air ballooning is one of the most popular attractions in Napa Valley. Balloons Above The Valley and Bonaventura Balloon Company are two of the Napa outlets offering this activity. Theme park lovers can take the short drive to nearby Vallejo (14 miles to the south), home of Six Flags Marine World.

RV Camping at Bothe Napa Valley State Park
We spent President's Day Weekend camping at Bothe Napa Valley State Park. We stayed in site #11. It was tight for our 27 travel trailer and Suburban but we managed to squeeze them both in. The sites here are relatively small but the picnic area is generous. Each site has a picnic table, grill, fire ring and food locker.
Site 11 backs up to the creek and has its own access to the creek. It was an excellent location. We will be booking it again. Keep in mind, though, that this is dry camping. There are no hook ups.
During the day we explored nearby Calistoga and visited the farmers market (open Saturdays) and found ourselves spending some time in the adjacent history museum, Sharpsteen Museum. The kids enjoyed the dioramas depicting the pioneer way of life.
We were also able to visit Yountville and Downtown Napa to gather our favorite munchies.
