Narikala Fortress | Tbilisi, Georgia (Country) | I Met Beautiful Russians
I went and climbed the Narikala Fortress and met beautiful Russians up there. A group of lovely ladies offered me tea, and of course, being a Filipino, I asked them to have a selfie! LOL and then another group of Russians came, and another group came! It was fun. I met new people from a country that I only heard and saw about them on TV. Now, face to face, I chatted them.

About Tbilisi, Georgia.
Tbilisi is the capital of the country of Georgia.
Its cobblestoned old town reflects a long, complicated history with periods under Persian and Russian rule.
Its diverse architecture encompasses Eastern Orthodox churches, ornate art nouveau buildings, and Soviet Modernist structures.
Looming over it all are Narikala, a reconstructed 4th-century fortress, and Kartlis Deda, an iconic statue of the “Mother of Georgia.”

About Me:
Hello Youtube!
It's Noel here! A very New Content Creator. I’m from the Philippines and currently working in Saudi Arabia. I am now enjoying creating videos from my random activities -vlog, food, travel adventure, reaction video, etc.
I am still learning on how to make my vlog interesting. I even don’t have the confidence facing the camera, but for sure, I am enjoying what I am doing. But, there is one thing that struggles me! My BAD ENGLISH, LOL! Yeah, I know, I can use my language to my videos, particularly to my vlog, but I am thinking about my non-Filipino friends and to my non-Filipino subscribers. That is why I am trying my best to make an English vlog or video.
In no time, I want to become a full-time Youtuber, doing travel vlog, and to film.???? I know, it’s too ambitious for me, BUT DREAMing BIG is free! So why not to DREAM BIG. ???????? Travel vlogging and Filming! Wow. That’s huge! ????. I still have to learn a lot of things, though!???? For now, I am watching and getting ideas from my fav Youtuber like Peter McKinnon, Parker Walbeck, Brandon Li, etc.

EXPLORING TBILISI, the historic NARIKALA FORTRESS in GEORGIA
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit Narikala which is an ancient fortress overlooking Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and the Kura River. The fortress consists of two walled sections on a steep hill between the sulphur baths and the botanical gardens of Tbilisi. On the lower court there is the recently restored St Nicholas church. Newly built in 1996–1997, it replaces the original 13th-century church that was destroyed in a fire. The new church is of prescribed cross type, having doors on three sides.
Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic that’s home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. It’s famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town.
The fortress was established in the 4th century as Shuris-tsikhe (i.e., Invidious Fort). It was considerably expanded by the Umayyads in the 7th century and later, by king David the Builder (1089–1125). The Mongols renamed it Narin Qala (i.e., Little Fortress). Most of extant fortifications date from the 16th and 17th centuries. In 1827, parts of the fortress were damaged by an earthquake and demolished.

Cable Car Experience Tbilisi, Georgia
Built in 2012, the cable car opened in Tbilisi which has a stunning overview of the city while crossing the Mtkavari River up to the equally astonishing Narikala Fortress. You should take the ride in morning to appreciate the aerial view of the city as well as the Bridge of Peace while ascending from the new Rike Park continuing your sight seeing to the 3 nearby attractions: (1) Narikala Fortress which was built in 4th Century, (2) the 300 year old Botanical Garden and (3)the Mother of Kartlis. The ride took almost 3mins.

NARIKALA FORTRESS TBILISI GEORGIA
Tbilisi (Georgia) Narikala Fortress
Narikala Fortress is a very important land mark in Tbilisi because of its history and views
Narikala Fortress,Tbilisi,Georgia.
Narikala Fortress,Tbilisi,Georgia.
Also called the Mother Fortress of Tbilisi, Narikala is an ancient symbol of Tbilisi’s defence. The fortress was established in the 4th century, around the period when the city itself was founded. It was then known as Shuris-tsikhe (Invidious Fort). The name Narikala is said to derive from a Persian word for citadel, but another theory says was the name that Mongols used, meaning “little fortress”. It was expanded considerably by the Arabs during the 7th and 8th centuries. The Arabs built the Emir’s palace within its walls. King David further extended the Builder the fortress in th 11th century. Most of the existing fortifications date from the 16th and 17th centuries. In 1827 it was damaged by an earthquake and was not resorted. St. Nikolos church, inside the fortress walls, dates from the 12th century. It was renovated in 1996. Narikala offers you some of the best panoramas of the city.
We’d also advise you to take a walk along the Narikala Tourist route, a 1500 metre trail that runs from the top of the ridge near the Mother Georgia statue, around the fortress and down into Old Town to near the entrance to the Botanical Gardens. It offers stunning views at every turn and is a particular delight at night when the city lights shine below.

TBILISI, GEORGIA | Day 1 Part 1
Part 1 of exploring the interesting city of Tbilisi, capital of the country Georgia. We spent 3 days and 2 nights in Georgia (Nov 30 - Dec 2, 2018), stayed at Hotel Sharden in Tbilisi. Winter has just kicked off that time, it was so cold with drizzle the whole of our stay.
Day 1: DIY Tbilisi City Tour Part 1 - We walked our way to Rike-Narikala Ropeway, rode the cable car admiring the whole view of the city, then up to Narikala, had a glimpse of Mother of Georgia (a statue symbolizing Georgia), walked the Narikala Tourist Route, took pictures, then down to Narikala Fortress.
