Eileen Gordon has been a leader in the world of Australian studio glass since establishing Gordon Studio Glassblowers with her husband Grant in 1990. Colac Review - Whats Up Downunder Summer Series - Go Make Some Memories
The latest of our Top 10 holiday destinations within two hours of Melbourne is Colac, south-west of Melbourne.
Colac was declared a city in 1960, has a population of over 10,000 and is situated on the third largest volcanic plains in the world!
The town is centred around Murray St, which is the home of the Colac commercial district. Here you'll find fantastic restaurants and cafes, lots of shopping and everything you'll need while on holidays.
The town is named after the nearby Lake Colac which is the largest freshwater lake in Victoria and is great for a swim on a hot summer's day as well as boating. A bird reserve also attracts an array of diverse bird life to the lake.
Another must-visit local attraction is the Botanical Gardens. These 12 hectare gardens feature playgrounds, shady picnic spots, historical trees and views across Lake Colac.

Heath Franco interview for Life Is Sexy at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery 1
Heath Franco gives a candid interview about his new work 'Life Is Sexy', currently screening at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery.
LIFE IS SEXY was created in response to a residency and research trip Franco undertook in the United States of America in 2016. The work explores western popular culture, desire, lust, fetish, greed, power, and is a flag waving, hip thrusting good time! The artist’s experience of remote media-shaped fantasy versus actual experience is considered, as well as Australia’s diplomatic relationship with the United States.
