The national flag with a 162 meter-high flagpole measures 70 meters high and 35 meters wide and weighs 350 kilograms. The total weight of the construction is 220 tons. The flag's total area is 2,450 square meters with a weight of about 350 kilograms.
Высота флагштока, установленного на площади Государственного флага, составляет 162 метра, диаметр его основания -- 3,2 метра, а верхней части -- 1,09 метра. Общий вес конструкции -- 220 тонн. Ширина флага составляет 35 метров, длина -- 70 метров, общая площадь -- 2450 квадратных метров, а вес -- примерно 350 килограммов. 29 мая 2010 года организация Книга рекордов Гиннеса подтвердила, что флагшток государственного флага Азербайджана является самым высоким в мире.
Meydanının ərazi 60 hektardır. Meydanın üst hissəsinin sahəsi 3 hektara bərabərdir. Meydanda Azərbaycanın dövlət rəmzləri - gerbi, himninin mətni, xəritəsi təsvir edilib. Ərazidə Dövlət Bayrağı Muzeyi yaradılıb. Meydanın ortasında isə Azərbaycanın dövlət bayrağı göylərə ucalır. Bu bayraq dünyanın ən böyük və ən uca bayrağı kimi Ginnesin Rekordlar kitabına daxil edilib. Bayrağın hündürlüyü 162 metrdir və paytaxtımızın hər bir yerindən görünür.
