National Museum of Flight in East Fortune offers one of Scotland's best days out. Get off to a flying start with a pilot's eye view of many of the world's most memorable military and passenger planes. Go interactive in our hands-on galleries, trace the history of aviation from the First World War or join the jet set on our Boeing 707 and Concorde.
Our airfield also has fascinating stories to tell with tales of the Cold War and record breaking airships. Explore further on an Airfield Explorer tour of our hangars and open green spaces.

Scotland's Concorde
Scotland’s Concorde, Golf-Bravo Oscar Alpha Alpha, was the first of her kind to go into service with British Airways, in 1976. 8,064 flights later, she came to rest at the National Museum of Flight in East Fortune after the Concorde fleet was decommissioned in 2003. Here you'll see an aerial view of the Concorde hangar at the National Museum of Flight, filmed by a drone.

U.K. Bound Flight 10
After visiting East Fortune's National Museum of Flight we headed for Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum. We had to land a long ways off at Carlisle, England. We saw some nice sites and had a good virtual walk-through of the museum.

Concorde: The People's Aircraft
This is an excerpt of a DVD produced by 1st Take. The complete film is available to order at 1st-take.com or by calling 01454 321614. The Concorde fleet has now been grounded, but there is still enormous interest in the aircraft, and much for enthusiasts to see, as this souvenir presentation reveals.
It includes a new appraisal of Concorde's technical advances, with the help of people who contributed to the aircraft's evolution, such as former Senior Flight Operations Officer Bob Griffin, and former Project Director Dr. Peter Calder O.B.E. It also features a comprehensive overview of the decommissioning and relocation of Concorde aircraft to museum sites.
You will see where Concorde can now be viewed, and you can re-live the historic journey of GBOAA from Heathrow along the River Thames to its new home at the Museum Of Flight in East Lothian.

East Lothian was very fortunate to secure one of only 18 surviving Concordes... the only one in Scotland. The next nearest is at Manchester with another five located across southern England.

Inside Concorde G-BOAA, National Museum of Flight, East Fortune
Visiting the National Museum of Flight in East Fortune, Scotland. I wonder around and then have a peek inside the greatest and most advanced Airliner in the world - Concorde. This Concorde (G-BOAA) was the first Concorde delivered to British Airways in 1976 and is one of 7 BA Concordes.
The Museum of Flight was recently renovated - I may make another video about the other parts of the museum. But for now enjoy!
