The National Museum of Nature and Science is in the northeast corner of Ueno park in Tokyo. Opened in 1871, it has had several names, including Ministry of Education Museum, Tokyo Museum, Tokyo Science Museum, the National Science Museum of Japan, and the National Museum of Nature and Science as of 2007. It was renovated in the 1990s and 2000s, and offers a wide variety of natural history exhibitions and interactive scientific experiences.
The museum has exhibitions on pre-Meiji science in Japan.

Ueno koen | The biggest Koi Festival | National museum of Nature and Science | Taito Ku | Tokyo |
UENO koen is located in Taito ku near Ueno station. A gem of museum because there are five museums located there. The park is huge and great resource of Autumn foliage and cherry Blossoms. There is also temple and zoo around there.
This time when we visited there, the biggest Koi Fish festival was happening there. The fishes are rare and beautiful to look at. It was a great bonus for us to visit Ueno park.

I took a little [4 hour] walk through the Museum of Nature and Science. While most of the plaques were in Japanese, it was still easy enough to follow along and very interesting. They had everything from early man to dinosaurs to the first computers to what we knew/know about space. I didn't really feel comfortable taking photos or videos inside the museum, so I only took a few short clips that I thought would look amazing in 360-degree video with displays all around.
It was a little later in the afternoon that I was there and for some reason there were a lot of teenagers there in their school uniforms. They were not there WITH the school, it was just a lot of different groups of friends that decided to check out the museum after school on a Tuesday. I guess that speaks to the thirst for knowledge of the Japanese teenagers!

Sorry for being MIA for over a month. Tiger Mom had some health issues and thus delayed in editing the videos.
The National Museum is conveniently located at the northeast corner of Ueno Park. The full address is J7-20 Uenokoen, Taito, Tokyo 110-8718, Japan. It opens almost everyday from 9am to 5pm daily except Monday and public holidays. The entrance fee for adults is 620yen.
As all of you should know by now, Declan is into Dinosaurs. So when we were in Japan, visiting Dinosaur skeletons and fossils is a must! We highly recommend for those who wishes to visit and are interested in Dinosaurs!
