Bazelet Hagolan Winery
The Golan Bazelet Winery is an unexpected development of a love story between a devoted man of earth and the work of his hands. This is a single story that is entirely Cabernet Sauvignon, the noble prince of the wine grapes family. The fertile and rich basalt of the Golan Heights, the unique climatic conditions of the region and the natural and meticulous production processes are the secret of the charm and quality of the wine. The winery is located next to a grove and a source of a spring and overlooks the Sea of Galilee.
Wine production in the Bazelett winery comes out of the love and joy of creation. while ensuring uncompromising quality, and the belief that this is also the reason for the worldwide recognition of the winery and the prizes and medals from all over the world. The winery produces about 75,000 bottles per year and its' production target is 100,000 bottles per year.
Yoav Levy began his wine production as a hobby, initially in the bomb shelter adjacent to his house, with the wine being fermented in the emergency water tanks. The Cabernet Sauvignon quickly gained fame in the area and the Bazelet Winery was born, the first boutique winery to open on the Golan Heights in 1998. Levy accumulated his extensive experience in the wine industry for many years. In the Bazelet winery people believe in the deep and inextricable connection with the Golan Heights, Therefore, the chosen winery logo is an ancient coin bearing the image of the Greek god Dionysus, the god of wine and fertility, which was discovered at the Gamla site on the Golan Heights.
Since 2004, the wines of the Bazelet winery have been kosher. Bazelet wines are known to have a high alcohol content and do not give up their unique taste. The winery produces annually Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and since 2008, white wines as well. The winery also produces a blend of Cabernet and Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet 188 from vineyards in Tel Fares.
At the Golan Bazelet winery you can experience the love story between the unique gift of nature and the people engaged in the profession. The visitors' center of the Bazelet Golan Winery offers guided tours for groups and individuals, where one can watch the wine-making process in season, taste the wines from the winery and even purchase the best of the finest harvests. In the winery, wine events are held in a unique setting with chef meals.
