Danmark. Gryet. Nexø. Bornholm.
Gryet ligger ca. 4 km vest for Nexø på Bornholm. Det er et fantastisk sted med 67 bautasten og er blandt de fire bedste steder på Bornholm at se bautasten. Gryet ligger på en bakkeø, som i oldtiden var omkranset af vand eller vådområder. Egnens jernalderbefolkning fandt stedet egnet som begravelsesplads.
Gryet er i dag en lille skov, hvor man i skovbunden finder stenene. En gåtur her kan ikke undgå at få ens tanker til at flyve afsted og tænke på, hvem det mon det var, der skulle begraves her?

Sildefiskeri fra Nexø Havn.1969.
Filmen viser en type fiskeri, hvor to kuttere trækker trawl mellem sig, efter sild. Østersøsild, hvoraf man gik til røgerierne på Bornholm. Denne type fiskeri, med to kuttere, findes ikke længere.
Filmen indledes med optagelser fra havnen.Først et stykke inde i filmen sejler de to kuttere ud om natten.
Filmen optog jeg i 1969 på Super8 mm. Nexø Museum har overspillet filmen fra 8mm til DVD fil.

I det Arkæologiske Aktivitetsrum kan du prøve at være arkæolog.
Arkæologerne prøver at finde spor f.eks. ting fra en tid, hvor man enten ikke skrev noget ned eller kun lidt.
Det de gerne vil finde ud af er, hvordan man levede dengang.
Det kan arkæologen finde ud af ved hjælp at se nøje efter, de steder hvor de finder noget og undersøge det de finder nærmere.
De må bl.a. måle, tegne, fotografere og skrive ned. De må bruge f.eks. røntgen og mikroskop.
I Aktivitetsrummet kan du undersøge en gravplads og en boplads-grube (stort hul) nærmere.
Du kan også prøve at finde ting med en metaldetektor, som bl.a. bornholmske fritidsarkæologer bruger.

Willemoes-klassen i Nexø, i 1990. P545 Norby på vej til søs på testsejllads. Nexø Værft vandt ordren vedr. reparation og vedligeholdelse.

L.A. Ring var en af dansk kunsts betydeligste malere ved indgangen til det 20. århundrede. Han var en pioner inden for såvel symbolisme som socialrealisme i dansk kunst.
