Travel to Managua, Nicaragua - First Nica Trip Ever! - 4K - Ep. 1
We set off to the adventure filled country of Nicaragua for the first time. See our arrival to Managua in the beautiful 4k video here:
We set off for our first trip to #Managua, #Nicaragua. As we left Los Angeles, California, we encountered strange lights in the night’s sky. We later learned that this was due to a nearby Space X launch. After we started our #travel from LAX, we had a brief layover in El Salvador. Finally, we make it to Managua, Nicaragua. We take in all of the new sights, smells and sounds and we hear to our hotel. We then meet with my family who I’ve heard about for my entire life. Then we visit the Paseo Xolotlan. On the way, we encounter the main street filled with Nativity sets. It is to be expected when we’re visiting around Christmas. We walk around Paseo Xolotlan and take in the airplane on display, the miniature old city & miniature cathedrals there and view the waterpark. Later we head to dinner for some local cuisine at Concina De Dona Haydee. Our trip was already off to an amazing start before we get ready to head to San Juan Del Sur.
This is Episode 1 and the first episode of my Nicaragua #Adventure Series. There's plenty of excitement ahead as we travel throughout this beautiful country and truly learn how to have more fun!

Now, where to travel in Nicaragua? I have often been asked, where my favourite place to travel in Central America is and after having given it a lot of thought, I concluded it is Nicaragua. Now of course, currently in 2018, Nicaragua is going through some tough times, but tourism will return to Nicaragua and the doors will open to travel Nicaragua once again and when you do plan to visit Nicaragua, you can use this top 5 places to travel in Nicaragua video to outline my personal favourite places, cities and towns in Nicaragua.
Here we go through my favourite 5 places you should visit when travelling Nicaragua starting at #5 The Corn Islands. Off the coast of Nicaragua, Big and Little Corn Island are two paradisical chunks of sand completely surrounded by gorgeous water. Sit back and relax!
My 4th favourite place in Nicaragua is the fun beach party town of San Juan del Sur. A lot of people love San Juan as it is called in Nicaragua, and as much as I did enjoy it, I was not in Nicaragua to just party so I found San Juan del Sur fun, but there were other better places.

The biggest surprise whilst travelling through Nicaragua was my third favourite place, Leon in the north of Nicaragua. A place I thought only existed on the tourist trail for Volcano Boarding, Leon is actually a very cool, and authentic city!

2nd best place in Nicaragua is Granada and Laguna de Apoyo. The town of Granada is gorgeous and colonial and right beside it is the volcano crater lake of Laguna de Apoyo, a pairing that is an absolute must visit when in Nicaragua.

The BEST Places in NIcaragua whilst travelling through, I found was ... ISLA OMETEPE. The island of Ometepe is a volcano island located in the enormous lake which covers a large area of Nicaragua and it is an unusual lost world that I simply loved. The video below shows us scootering around the island, one of the best days of my life.

Nicaragua Travel Vlog 4: Nature Tour at Chocoyero
This video is about my nature and birdwatching tour where we went hiking at Reserva Chocoyero in Nicaragua. It is one of the best places in Nicaragua in my opinion, and you will get the best of Nicaragua wildlife, Nicaragua birdwatching, and neotropical birds. We saw all kinds of beautiful tropical birds, including some Long-tailed Manakins and a colony of nesting Pacific Parakeets. The highlight was a huge waterfall at the end of the trail.
In this video I hope to educate you about some interesting things you may see on a walk through a tropical forest and show you what birdwatching in an exotic tropical location like Nicaragua is really like. It was a great start to a week full of all kinds of adventures, and a good way to healthily immerse myself in nature before the partying started.

Alejandro Cesar Lee was the head nature guide. He is a great guy, speaks English very well, and is an expert of the natural history of Nicaragua. This is the start of a proyect i wanted to start for so long. Finally doing this makes me so Happy. I Hope you enjoy it! This travesy has been so inspiring and life-changing for me. I dreamed about this a while ago and be able to just materialize is a dream accomplished by itself.
Nicaragua to Panama COMPLETE
Kayaking from Lake Nicaragua to Bocas del Toro, Panama. 600 km on Rio San Juan and the Caribbean Sea along the coast of Costa Rica and into Bocas del Toro.
Her Odyssey is the community which have come together to empower two women, Lauren Reed and Bethany Hughes, in traveling the length of the Americas by non-motorized means, connecting the stories of the land and its inhabitants. 'Neon' (Lauren's trail name) is a Triple Crowner of thru-hiking (she hiked the AT, PCT, and CDT) and 'Fidgit' (Bethany's trail name) is a PCT and CT thru-hiker and various other long distance trails.
They became the first people to thru-hike the Greater Patagonian Trail and also walked the entire length of the Inca Road, the Qhapaq Nan. So far they have covered 8,000 miles of the proposed 20,000 mile journey from the Beagle Channel to the Arctic Ocean.
