Kangaroos between Coonamble & Walgett
Because there's been so little rain in western NSW a lot of wildlife comes close to the main roads between dusk & dawn for water & grass. They often become victims to vehicle hits, especially trucks. This is just part of our trip but I counted 46 Roos between Gilgandra & Lightning Ridge, including a few big reds which liked to jump across in front of the car.
If you're ever driving out here, please be vigilant for the sake of the wildlife & your vehicle.
