MY NOTES:
This following is the description of the photos from my cousin Marla
If someone told me I was going to spend my 48th birthday in the small town where my Gram Berarducci grew up, I would never have believed them. But, here I am in Palena, Italy, where this wonderful woman spent her childhood days. After a few pics, I had my favorite Italian dish, gnocchi with marinara sauce. Never had ANY that were this close to my gram's....Mama Mia!!! We were the only 2 in the place, then all of a sudden we heard several voices. I asked if I could get a picture with them, the locals if Palena. They then joined us for biscotti and cappuccino, and asked me to tell them about my grandmother. (Little English spoken here, but we managed!) Thanks to my good friend Amber and the locals of Palena, Italy for making this birthday absolutely unforgettable and special! Gonna take a lot to top this one!! And...thanks to my awesome cousin Mark Jeffery Campayno for giving me the details of our gram's village so I could experience this. I am a blessed and lucky woman. Now to enjoy our last day in Italy...(say it isn't so!) Ciao!!
