Manchester Nightlife & Spa at Hotel Cafe Royal

In this video I teamed up with to highlight epic properties.
This was a very busy day which started early at Hotel Cafe Royal where I had the pleasure of visiting their spa aka the Akasha Luxury Spa & Gym. Considering I had stayed a few nights at the hotel, I was really sad that I had not gone there sooner, talk about a missed opportunity!
After that it was time to check out and leave London for a while to head towards Manchester by train to visit some friends. There I met up with Victoria, Helen and Peter who are all blogger friends of mine that I've met on different adventures around the world.
Supposedly Manchester has some of the best Christmas markets in the world so it only made sense to go check them out, then have some good food and a few drinks to spread some cheer. It was good times but we went out on a Thursday and there wasn't really that much happening for Manchester; this was good as I was exhausted to say the least form the previous week or so of busy travel.
It was great reconnecting with my friends and I had a fun time.

Groom arrives on a Tank ! WeddingTank entrance || Bolton Excellency Centre || Manchester
A groom made a grand entrance to his wedding arriving on top of a tank!
In recent years British Asian wedding organisers have looked at more innovative ways for the special couple to make their entrance.
Guests and crowds greeted the groom and his friends as he arrived at Bolton’s Excellency Centre on top of a tank.
In the background a traditional bhangra band can be heard as the 'baraat' (Groom's wedding procession) make their entrance.
Epic Weddings captured tank making its way through the streets en route to the venue being led by a Lamborghini.

Manchester UK walking tour 4K @ActionKid

Manchester is a major city and metropolitan borough in Greater Manchester, England, with a population of 534,982 as of 2018. It lies within the United Kingdom's second-most populous urban area, with a population of 2.9 million, and third-most populous metropolitan area, with a population of 3.3 million. It is fringed by the Cheshire Plain to the south, the Pennines to the north and east, and an arc of towns with which it forms a continuous conurbation. The local authority for the city is Manchester City Council.
The recorded history of Manchester began with the civilian settlement associated with the Roman fort of Mamucium or Mancunium, which was established in about AD 79 on a sandstone bluff near the confluence of the rivers Medlock and Irwell. It is historically a part of Lancashire, although areas of Cheshire south of the River Mersey were incorporated in the 20th century. The first to be included, Wythenshawe, was added to the city in 1931. Throughout the Middle Ages Manchester remained a manorial township, but began to expand at an astonishing rate around the turn of the 19th century. Manchester's unplanned urbanisation was brought on by a boom in textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution, and resulted in it becoming the world's first industrialised city. Manchester achieved city status in 1853. The Manchester Ship Canal opened in 1894, creating the Port of Manchester and directly linking the city to the Irish Sea, 36 miles (58 km) to the west. Its fortune declined after the Second World War, owing to deindustrialisation, but the IRA bombing in 1996 led to extensive investment and regeneration.Following successful redevelopment after the IRA bombing, Manchester was the host city for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Manchester is the third most visited city in the UK, after London and Edinburgh. It is notable for its architecture, culture, musical exports, media links, scientific and engineering output, social impact, sports clubs and transport connections.
A city of notable firsts, Manchester Liverpool Road railway station was the world's first inter-city passenger railway station. The city has also excelled in scientific advancement, as it was at The University of Manchester in 1917 that scientist Ernest Rutherford first split the atom, in 1948 Frederic C. Williams, Tom Kilburn, and Geoff Tootill developed and built the world's first stored-program computer, and in 2004 Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov successfully isolated and characterised the first graphene.

Hotel Review: Melia Innside Manchester, Manchester, England - July 2018.
Hotel Review: Melia Innside Manchester, Manchester, England - July 2018.
I stayed at the Innside Manchester, a Melia Hotel for two nights over a weekend in July 2018. The room on a bed and breakfast basis for two people cost £214 with Booking.com, which is not cheap, however Manchester is very busy with weekend visitors, and there was also a music festival on in the city. The hotel is a new build in a very vibrant area of the city in-between Deansgate and Oxford Road station. It is exactly opposite the Haçienda Apartments, that used to be the legendary nightclub venue, the Haçienda.
The hotel was very busy during our visit, and I would not be surprised if it was near full. Upon arrival there was a short queue for check-in, but check-in was a simple process, helped by a friendly receptionist.
There are two lifts in the hotel, they're a little slow, but that's a minor point. Our room on the 10th floor (1018) was modern bright and decorated in a tasteful monotone style. There was an extremely large super-king-sized bed, two comfy chairs, coffee table, storage space, wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, free bottles of soft drinks, a desk chair, hairdryer and a semi open plan bathroom, where the sink is open onto the bedroom, but the toilet and shower are in separate cubicles. The weather was extremely hot outside, 28 degrees, so the air-conditioning was welcome, although it struggled to cope, as I imagine everyone had theirs on maximum cool.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, good portions and friendly staff. We ate there at tea-time on the first day and had breakfast too - which was excellent, full-English and continental options.
All in all this was a very pleasant stay in a well located, comfortable and stylish hotel. I would definitely consider staying there again in future.
This film features views of the hotel reception / lobby, lift / elevator, a detailed room inspection of room 1018, the restaurant, food items, the breakfast buffet and the outside terrace.

Hotel Review: The Castlefield Hotel, Manchester, England - August 2019
Review of central Manchester's Castlefield Hotel, located at Castlefield Bowl.
Hotel Reviews: England playlist, here: of a review of central Manchester's Castlefield Hotel, located at Castlefield Bowl.
I stayed at The Castlefield Hotel for one night in August, 2019. This cost £65 for one night on a bed and breakfast basis. My room was on a high floor with excellent views over Castlefield Bowl. The bedroom was large, the bed was a super-king sized one. The room was very decent and comfortable, three negatives were: a lack of air-conditioing, a lack of plug sockets near the bed and quite a few cobwebs and spiders on the high walls and ceiling. With that said, the room was a great size and I was overall very happy with it. The bathroom was spacious, but in need of some maintenance, it unfortunately had a shower over a bath instead of a shower cubicle. The breakfast buffet was superb, with a good range of very tasty items. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again in future.
This film includes exterior views of the hotel, reception, lobby, bar, restaurant, lift, 3rd floor corridor, breakfast buffet and a detailed room review of room 311.

How to have the Perfect Day in Bath, England
In our final episode here in England we have made our way towards Bath to celebrate Stephens birthday.
To spend the weekend we stayed at the Queensberry Hotel, which was the perfect spot to have our getaway. I surprised Stephen with a very fancy 5 course tasting menu at the Olive Tree Restaurant for his birthday dinner...honestly one of the tastiest meals we have ever had...who thought 5 small plates could = one full belly.
Later on we headed over to Thermae Bath Spa's to have a relaxing morning in a heated spa 6 stories high above Bath. Next up we went to the original Roman baths to show you what it was like when the original baths were used during Roman times.
Then I surprised Stephen with a birthday gift...hiring a campervan and heading over to Wales :)
