Tokyo Katsushika Mizumoto Park Iris Festival
Around June every year in Katsushika, a downtown part of Tokyo near Skytree, you can fully enjoy beautiful iris flowers and a Japanese matsuri at the Katsushika Iris Festival.
This video is a summary of the wonder of Katsushika Iris Festival!
On Saturdays and Sundays throughout the festival period, you can enjoy Japanese festivals at the venues of Horikiri Shobuen Iris Garden and Mizumoto Park, including performances such as koto and taiko drumming, and a place to experience Japanese tea.
Also, at Horikiri Shobuen Iris Garden, for a limited time, you can enjoy irises in a different way, with night time illuminations.
Explore a little beyond Skytree, and have fun at a local Japanese festival!

10 minutes' walk from Horikirishobuen Station on the Keisei Main Line
＜Mizumoto Park＞
From the JR / Keisei Kanamachi Station, catch the Keisei Bus from the south exit (the Kana 61 bound for Tagasaki Soushajo / Yashio Station South Exit), or from the north exit (the Kana 62 bound for Nishi-Mizumoto Sanchome / Obagawa Suimon). A five minute walk after alighting at Mizumoto Koen.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, you can catch the Mizumoto Park Loop Bus (Kana 63) and alight at Hanashobuen for a one minute walk to the park.

Cycling from Ohanajaya to Kameari and Yotsugi
There are many Someiyoshino cherry blossom trees flowered.
The street is former Hikifunegawa(曳舟川) river.

At first went north from Ohanajaya(お花茶屋) to Kan-nana-dori(環七通) street of Kameari(亀有).
Then returned to south until Mito-kaido(水戸街道) street of Yotsugi(四ツ木).

Shinjuku Historical Museum / 新宿区歴史博物館 [Shinjuku Tube]

Shinjuku Historical Museum located in about 10 minutes walk from JR/Metro Yotsuya station.
It preserves and inherits the cultural relics and history of Shinjuku and has a popular permanent exhibits like the scale model of Naitou Shinjuku post town and the model of city tram.
This is a good place to learn about Shinjuku from ancient times up to now.

かつしかウォーキングマップ19・京成堀切菖蒲園駅[其の二](Horikiri Shoubuen)
2017.08.13(日) 葛飾区が公開している「かつしかウォーキングマップ」コースです。
過去に葛飾区もそこそこ歩いていますが、今回は全20コース踏破をしたいと思っています。

堀切菖蒲園駅→小菅東スポーツ公園→小菅西公園→小菅稲荷神社→旧水戸佐倉道→古隅田川緑道→堀切菖蒲園駅
其の二
小菅西公園から荒川土手に上がり、北千住方面を眺め、コースに戻り、東京拘置所の隣にある小菅稲荷神社に立ち寄り、旧水戸佐倉道に戻ります。
東京拘置所は撮影禁止となっているのでソフトフォーカスを掛けています。拘置所を巡る金網などに「建物に向けて写さないで下さい。」と書かれています。
昔、綾瀬川に架かっていた「水戸橋」跡の隣に出来た新しい水戸橋を渡り古隅田川緑道へと進みます。
この緑道付近に「小菅の風太郎」と言う恐い伝説がありました。
蓮昌寺に立ち寄り、駅に戻りました。
