LEADIN:
Shorter winters in Greenland are making life increasingly difficult for those whose jobs depend on snow.
Mugu Utuaq is a professional dogsledder. During the long summer months, he hunts whales to feed his dogs while they're unable to race.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is expected to publish a special report on oceans and the cryosphere Wednesday (25 September).
STORYLINE:
Taking to the water in this small boat, armed with his rifle, Mugu Utuaq is on the hunt for whales.
Utuaq is the fourth-ranked dogsledder in Greenland and lives in the small village of Kulusuk.
During the increasingly long summer months, his 23 dogs cannot race, but he still needs to feed them, which is why he goes on the hunt for whales.
But today was not a fruitful day:
Today we went whale hunting. It's important for hunters. We looked for them for a long time. But sometimes we just don't find any, he explains.
34-year-old Utuaq says shorter winters are making his job increasingly challenging, but life in Greenland wasn't always this way:

From our hotel in Kulusuk we take a long walk and up a hill to the graveyard and then to a lookout point even higher up. We can see the village of Kulusuk in the distance (we will walk to the village tomorrow) shrouded in some fog. At the summit we are treated to a couple of traditional songs performed by a local resident.

SAM 4K -- Dog eating wild blueberries off a lowbush
3/5 June 4, 2016 The Green Forest | Are Blueberries Safe for Dogs? Veterinarians and canine nutritionists have determined that blueberries are safe for dogs in moderation. Blueberries are often included in commercial dog food and dog treats. They are low in fat and high in vitamin C and fiber. While no conclusive studies have confirmed that blueberries are actually beneficial for a dog, some studies have shown some positive effects of feeding dogs blueberries.

Douglas C-47A Skytrain That's all, Brother Comes to Cambridge Airport
A truly iconic moment here with this lovely C-47A at Cambridge Airport flying the US Ambassador aboard for a pleasure flight. That's all, Brother was the lead aircraft 75 years ago during the allied airborne assault on Normandy and some 75 years later she has returned to the UK ahead of the Daks over Normandy celebrations next week, yesterday she positioned into Cambridge to fly a D-Day veteran and the US Ambassador on a pleasure flight over Cambridgeshire much to the delight of the Cambridge spotters. We see her return from her sortie and then depart for nearby Duxford where she will join over 30 other DC-3/C-47 examples from all over the world for a massive commemoration of what is still the biggest invasion in history. We owe a lot to the C-47s and indeed their brave former crews, so many of whom never lived to tell the tail.
