They have raided the river bottom behind the Olivas Adobe in Ventura to rid it of it homeless.
When I stopped at the Adobe this morning for a nice walk ,I was approached by fleeing homeless man who said that the camp that he lived in was being raided . I hope that the displaced will receive vouchers for hotels. There are not many kindnesses shown to these folks. Most are suffering from addiction and or also mental illness and live a constant feral lifestyle. They suffer from anxiety around strangers. God did not have this in mind. Be kind and remember we are all his children. I could happen to you, your childor someone you already know could be hiding thus secret.

Ventura
Situated along California’s scenic central coast, the City of Ventura was once referred to as the “land of endless summers” and even the “city of good fortune”. This picturesque community offers plenty for visitors to do, including a stop along the pier at San Buenaventura State Beach and a stroll down the historic Ventura Pier. For those visitors more into surfing than swimming, make a stop at the rocky, narrow beach of Surfer’s Point. When it is time to take a break from the surf and sand, head to the vibrant restaurants, galleries and more of Ventura Harbor. Beautiful Ventura County offers a stunning 42 miles of coastline and the Los Padres National Forest, which accounts for 46% of the county’s land mass in the northern portion of the county. Fertile valleys in the southern half of the county make Ventura County a leading agricultural producer. Together, farming and the Ventura Pier occupy half of the county’s 1.2 million acres. Ventura County has a strong economic base that includes major industries such as biotechnology, agriculture, advanced technologies, oil production, and tourism.

Cleaning up the Ventura River bottom
The thick stalks of arundo, in their dried state resembling faded corn fields, grow densely along the Ventura River. If left to grow uninterrupted, the nonnative grass would fill in any gap in the open space, gulping four to five times more water than any local tree. Arundo's dense growth provides the perfect cover for the people living there, who fill the area with trash and human waste. The combination of the water-sucking arundo and trash-dumping dwellers are a recipe for an envinronmental wreck the state has told the private and public owners of the land they must clean up or face steep fines.
