One Tree Bridge - Western Australia
A bridge that was made from one tree, then added to and then replaced.
The Four Aces, Western Australia.
The four trees grew from a single fallen and thus are perfectly in line with one another.
The Four Aces are four magnificent karri trees standing tall in an evenly-spaced straight line in the midst of a beautiful karri forest in the One Tree Bridge Conservation Park between Manjimup and Nannup, Western Australia.
Gloucester Tree - Pemberton - Western Australia
The Gloucester Tree is a giant karri tree in the Gloucester National Park of Western Australia.
At 53 metres in height, it is the world's second tallest fire-lookout tree[1] (second only to the nearby Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree), and visitors can climb up to a platform in its upper branches for a spectacular view of the surrounding karri forest. It is owned by the Shire of Manjimup.
Built in 1947, the Gloucester Tree was one of eight karri trees that between 1937 and 1952 were made relatively easy to climb so that they could be used as fire lookout spots.[2] The suitability of the tree as a fire lookout was tested by forester Jack Watson, who climbed the tree using climbing boots and a belt.[2] It took Watson six hours to climb 58 metres, a difficult climb due to the 7.3 metre girth of the tree and the need to negotiate through limbs from 39.6 metres up.[2]
Another forester, George Reynolds, pegged the ladder and lopped branches to facilitate climbing the tree, and a wooden lookout cabin was built 58 metres above the ground.[2] The Governor-General of Australia, Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, visited the site during construction, and the tree and national park are named in his honour.[2][3]
The wooden lookout cabin was demolished in 1973 for safety reasons, and was replaced with a steel and aluminium cabin and visitors' gallery.[2] Currently the climb is done by stepping on 153 spikes that spiral the tree.
Only 20 percent of visitors climb to the top of the tree; most make it only part of the way before turning back.

Climbing The Gloucester Tree
The Gloucester Tree is in Gloucester National Park in Pemberton Western Australia. It is one of many trees pegged as fire lookouts in the towering Karri Forest. It was originally named the East Tree but changed to Gloucester Tree after a visit by the Duke of Gloucester in 1947 when he was Governor General of Australia. There are three climbing trees near Pemberton: The Gloucester, Bicentennial and Diamond trees. They are all around 60 to 70 meters to the top!

Lewin Block Clear-felling | Member's Statement
Diane speaks in Parliament about the Lewin forest, a block near Manjimup, to the west of One Tree Bridge.
Since last Friday, May 31, a number of people have been doing their best to protect the forest. It may not be classified as an old-growth forest, but it does contain old trees.
The majority of people in Western Australia believe no older trees are being cut, but these old, 400 or maybe 500-year-old, trees are still at-risk.

Pemberton - Western Australia
Deep in the heart of karri country, Pemberton is one of the coldest towns in the state. The surrounding forest is breath taking. An under storey of ferns and bracken is usually damp and earthy smelling. Smaller trees and bushes clump together beneath majestic karri trees making the forest almost impenetrable.
The town's most popular tourist attraction is the huge Gloucester Tree with its fire lookout teetering 64 m above the ground and its hair-raising 153 rung ladder to the top. It is claimed that the view from the top is magnificent but, if there is a wind blowing, the experience of swaying from side to side is apparently less than comforting.

Truffle's big day out at Paringa SA
Truffle enjoying a sniff and explore at the beautiful Bert Dix Memorial Park in Paringa (Very near Renmark) in the South Australian riverland.
****I am making these videos for myself purely to ensure I have something to look back on later so I don't really care about quality****
I'm really not computer savvy so the editing is very rough :) You can see the famous Paringa Bridge in the video and a separate photo. This bridge lifts up to allow tall ships to pass.
This park holds a very strong sentimental value to me; it's where a lot of our wedding photos were taken. It's sad to see the new construction happening but I guess time must roll on!
Truffle is a 3.5 year old (in this video) Staffy cross. We brought her home from the pound in November 2016 as a 3 year old. She had received little training but is coming along VERY well. I'm so proud of her. She can't be taken off leash as she is fear aggressive with other dogs but she has her 30m rope that allows her to run around and be free.
WA on the ROAD: Perth - Esperance with GoPro Hero 4
This Road Trip from Perth to Experance, in Western Australia, gives you every opportunity to explore the Australia's Wild.
You can climb the, 51-meters-high, Diamond Tree near Manjimup and, once climbed to the top, you can enjoy a bird's view surrounded by Karri Forest.
Drive south to Albany, but first stop at the Valley of the Giants. Rest in a nice camping in Albany and at early morning go to see the rugged coastline of Natural Bridge & The Gap for great ocean views. Along the way to Experance you should discover the deserted sand beaches: Salmon Beach, Twilight Beach and Peaceful Bay. Walk on the white beaches and smooth, discovering how the ocean changes color.
Once you arrive at Experance you should visit the pristine Cape Le Grand National Park. You can swim and relax in some of the most beautiful sand beaches with the most crystalline water and the most white sand. At Lucky Bay you maybe found curious kangaroos on the beach, while at Thistle Cove you can feel the rocks that mimic the ocean.
Retourning back to Perth, spend a couple of hours admiring the Wave Rock, formed 2 million years ago.
