BUNJUNGLE Adventures and Tarkeshwar HIKE Shivapuri National Park
We wanted to spend a good weekend with our team members who missed our last trek. Bunjungle Adventures, suggested by one of our followers in instagram, happycrafts_nepal, turned out to be the perfect location. Just a few kilometers away from Kathmandu Valley, this is the only treehouse concept resort apart from Chitwan and a few other places outside the valley.
And we must say, we were not disappointed. The ambience is amazing, calm and relaxing. Everything you want for perfect weekend getaway. Then there's the hike to Tarakeshwar Mahadev in side Shivapuri National Park. It takes about half an hour to reach there and the hike is around a couple of hours. Walking through the dense forests, taking in the fresh air, experiencing different types of weather within a short interval of time, view of Kathmandu Valley, we were exhilarated when we reached Adheri Khola Waterfall. Events took a drastic turn when we dropped our gopro in the water. Finding it after 14mins was the happiest moment and we all learnt a valuable lesson.

The Second Largest Tree of Asia in Nepal????????|| Dadabazar || Rajarani || Eastern Nepal Vlog
It was an amazing ride to get to explore such beautiful places. I started my vlog from Okhre, Lafa Kitchen. From where, I straight away headed towards Danda Bazzar and then Raja Rani. But, on the way to Raja Rani, I discovered a way to go to a place, where the second largest tree of Asia has been situated. I went there and enjoyed. After that I headed to beautiful Raja Rani, where I didn't vlog any other things except a boat ride in the lake. It was fantastic experience with such a beautiful weather.

Nepal: Little Buddha, the return - Documentary
In Nepal, five hours from Katmandou, thousands of people, irrespective of wich caste they belong to, goes each day on a pilgrimage, on foot or on cart. There, in the middle of the forest, they come to meditate and pray in front of a 16 year old boy. 24 hours a day, this young man sits in the hollow of a tree, in full meditation. He does not move, he does not eat, he does not drink. He remains sitted quiet, breathes very little, very gently and does not need anything. For the believers, he is the reincarnation of Buddha! Miracle or not? We followed the traces of this man that all Nepali already call Little Bouddha.

Restoring the Environment in Nepal - Eden Reforestation Projects
Eden Reforestation Projects (Eden for short) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission committed to alleviating extreme poverty and restoring healthy forests in Haiti, Madagascar, and Nepal by employing local villagers to plant over a million trees each month. The lives of Eden’s employees are transformed by having a fair and dependable income to support themselves and their children. They are sending their children to school, able to afford good food and medical care, being freed from debt, labor and sex slavery, and are experiencing sustainable farming and fishing as their land, villages and local economies are restored to health.

Protest against tree-felling plan to widen Nepal road
(29 Aug 2019) More than 200 people rallied in Nepal's capital Thursday to protest government plans to cut down about 2,000 trees to widen a key road that circles the city.
The protesters held signs urging the government to stop the plan to remove the trees on the outer edge of Kathmandu.
The 27-kilometer (17-mile) Ring Road encircles the capital and is a key road network for the increasingly congested city.
These trees were controlling pollution and giving fresh air so they cannot be cut down to make roads, said Saurav Dhakal, a protester.
Kathmandu is suffering from massive air pollution, and cutting so many trees is going to make the situation worse.
They are demanding the government find other ways to widen the road.
When the government widened half of the road earlier this year, thousands of trees were believed to have been cut down.
The second phase of the expansion covering the remaining half is expected to begin soon and protesters say they are determined to block that process.

Nepal 2019 - The Colours of Kathmandu & Trekking the Helambu Trail
A collection of my photos of our trip to Nepal January 23-February 5, 2019) including visiting in and around Kathmandu and trekking on the Helambu Trail.
The travel team included Phil Marns, Nick Cross, Steve Norris, Rob Turner, all from England, and myself, Lawrence Bonavia, from Canada.
After a couple of nights stay in Kathmandu, we hired transport and set out on the Helambu trail out of Sunderijal (1,460m), Along the trail we made overnight stops in Chisipani (2,165m), Chipling, Kutumsang (2,470m), Mangengoth, (3,420m), Thadepadi (3,690m), Melamchigoan (2 nights) (2,550m) and finished up with our final night of the trek in Timbu. From there we took a 9 hour local bus ride along the river back to Kathmandu .
The success of the trek would not have been possible without our outstanding personal guide Bishal Kulung and porters, Mahendra and Nischal Kulung. Also special thanks to Phil for being the catalyst for this grand adventure, getting us organized and sharing his knowledge and experience of Nepal.
Enjoy the photos and taste of our experience in Nepal... :-)
