Tokyo Nakano Japan Vlog 11
Please support my channel by helping me reach 1000 subscribers.
Last Friday was Premium Friday in Japan (the last Friday of a month) and the Salary Man can leave office early to be with his family. We went to Nakano Ward in Tokyo. My husband lived during his University years in Nakano Ward and he wanted to show this to me.
Beside the Nakano Broadway with it’s memorabilia for Otaku culture, the back Alleys with all the budget restaurant are worth to mention.
Nakano Ward is one of many Otaku Spots in Tokyo. I am not into this culture but since this is a big part of Nakano Ward, I have to mention it.
Otaku is a term in Japan to describe a person with obsessive interests, commonly towards the anime and manga fandom or it could also describe any other person with a hobby or interest, that is simply obsessive. This is my 11. Japan Vlog.

REAL Mario Kart in Tokyo Guide: 10 Tips
This is my REAL LIFE Mario Kart in Tokyo strategy guide with 10 TIPS for your first Mario Kart adventure on the streets of Japan. This video covers costs, attractions (Gundam Robot, Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower), the courses, the dangers and other important details. Subscribe to my channel ► for weekly videos!
NEW: 7-Day Tokyo Pocket Itinerary
+ tons of Tokyo discount tickets
37% OFF Mario Kart Tokyo:
NEVER PAY FULL PRICE
Photos and extra tips on my blog:
First off, this is most important be sure to bring your passport, your driver's license and international driver's license, without these 3 pieces of ID they will not allow you to join the fun since the last thing you want being turned down at the door .
An international driver's license can be simply purchased at your local road assistance office because if you are pulled over, the Japanese police will require the international license to translate your foreign license.
Also, watch the instructional video at the Maricar shop and ask your instructor as many questions.
If you have never cosplayed before than this will be a great first experience into the wonderful world of Japanese cosplay, just make sure to act out your character.
Some of the main attractions you will see on these courses are
the gigantic Gundam robot, the famous Akihabara district, cross the rainbow bridge (not to be confused with the rainbow road from the mario kart games), the Tokyo tower in all its glory which is another great spot for selfies, you will also drive through famous Harajuku and Shibuya districts where you'll get lots of attention from friendly locals
you and your friends will be the center of attention throughout the streets of Tokyo.
Be aware, in Tokyo they drive on the left side of the road
if uncertain, just follow your group instructor closely
just not too closely, you don't want to smash into them so use those brakes, or ebrake in worst case .
Depending on how much time you have inTokyo, you can select the 1, 2 or even 3 hour course with prices ranging from 2900 yen to 5300 yen and includes insurance, a costume and an instructor
trust me, take the 3 hour tour because once you start you do not want to stop, there is just so much to see.
Now you may wonder is this dangerous? Well, maybe a little bit since helmets are optional and there is no seat belt, these go-karts are considered regular mopeds by Japanese traffic laws, just don't be a jackass and you'll be fine.
Another cool thing is the accessories rental option
ranging from bananas to a Bluetooth speaker so you can blast songs from your favorite Mario Kart game.
Discounts!! Make sure to read all details on their website to avoid any misinterpretations.
Now if you did forget your international driver's license you can always go to VR ZONE Shinjuku to play the VR version of Mario Kart which is another incredible experience in Tokyo.

Heading to TOKYO, JAPAN for the first time! | Japan Travel Vlog
Backpacking Travel Vlog
Shanghai, China | Tokyo, Japan
January 8th - 10th, 2018
In this travel vlog, the first one shot in 2018, I depart on a new big trip, headed back to Asia! My first stop is Japan, and I fly to Tokyo where I will I start my travels in the east Asian country.
On the journey to Tokyo from California, I have a layover for a few hours in Shanghai, China, and along with a new friend I meet on the plane, we head out of the airport to ride the high-speed magnetic levitation train and check out what there is in the area.
Once I finally arrive in Tokyo, I make my way to my hostel using Tokyo's massive metro system, and I meet up with an old friend, Eddie, who will join me for the first couple weeks of this trip. We then also meet up with another old friend, Andy, who happens to be in Tokyo at the same time as us!
(For reference: $1 USD ~= 112 Japanese Yen)

SLURP IN JAPAN - Episode 1
After sharing his story about how he was stopped by immigration when arriving in Japan, Roy is trying a Japanese Cream Apple Pie he bought at the Tenjin Station, which of course, turned out to be AMAZING!!
Later on, Roy is reaching his first Ramen destination in Fukuoka -
Ramen Stadium.
Ramen no. 1
Tonkotsu Ramen
豚骨ラーメン is a ramen dish that originated in Fukuoka Prefecture on the Kyushu island of Japan, and it is a specialty dish in Fukuoka and Kyushu. It was originally prepared as affordable, fast food for laborers at fish markets.
The soup broth is based upon pork bones and other ingredients, which is typically boiled for several hours, and the dish is traditionally served with ramen noodles that are hard in the center and topped with sliced pork belly. In Fukuoka, Japan, Tonkotsu ramen is referred to as Hakata ramen.
Just when Roy was about to go back to his room - he came across an amazing show.

Tokyo Manga Shop & Anime Studio Mega Tour ★ ONLY in JAPAN #29 東京漫画ショップ&アニメスタジオツアー
Anime and manga fans are increasing world wide! Tokyo is at the center of it all so in this episode, John Daub and Patrick W. Galbraith, author of the Otaku Encyclopedia and Moe Manifesto head to Nakano Broadway and Mandarake, a famous manga shop.
This place is otaku heaven!
Here we discuss:
★ Why is manga and anime becoming more popular?
★ Dragon Ball Z GOKU vs. SUPERMAN
★ Anime vs. Manga
Is the book better than the movie?
We also look at some of Mandarake's collectable toys and some of the oldest manga available at the shop.
Next, we go to Asagaya and WAO Corporation's studio where they are making a crowd-funded anime production called Chuya-den.
Chuya-den, directed by Yoshiyuki “Yoshiko” Kaneko who studied animation under Taku Furukawa, the Japanese Animation Guru!
Chuya-den is using a new crowd-funding model for creating original anime. Connecting fans and creators to make original ideas is the key to the success of budding ideas and many young anime creators start in outfits like Chuya-den. Patrick and John look at the process from character creation to digitalizing and coloring in a small indie studio.

Last Day in Tokyo | Hip this Street | Japan Vlog Day #9
This year my daughter and I took a trip for 10 days to Japan. It was a non-stop, culture and tummy filled adventure with caffeine kicks in between kind of trip. It was really tiring but fun as hell!
HERE'S DAY 9 OF OUR JAPAN ADVENTURE!
So we decided to visit Meiji Shrine on our last day in Tokyo. Bad idea! We underestimated the long walk to the shrine. We only made it to the decorated sake barrels! If only we didn't have a train to catch. And we discovered this hip street in Omotesando/Harajuku!
That afternoon we went back to Osaka, got our luggage from storage, checked in to a new hotel, fixed our things before hitting the sack. We went to the airport early in the morning. It was a busy last few hours in Japan that I forgot to vlog. Nag over pa ko sa luggage weight and had to buy extra. Imagine I only had one 25-kilo luggage on our first day but I went home with 4 more. Next time, wala na talagang shopping. And we even bought a few stuff from the Duty Free. Nasita pa ko ng ground attendant. Only 2 bags were allowed per passenger but MG and I had 3 each! We had to rearrange everything so we only had 2 bags each to bring in to the plane. It was a crazy last hours in Japan indeed! Stress Drilon to the highest levels! So tired but so worth all the trouble. Haul soon!
See you on the next VLOG!

VLOG # 5 (Part 1) JAPAN | GAMING DISTRICT IN TOKYO, AKIHABARA! | ESPINOSA ON BOARD
You need to check out Akihabara if you're not a gamer. I am not a gamer, but Chad is, so that's why he must stay here for a day. Haha! We only stay there for a half of a day since this was our last day in Tokyo.
Weather you`re a hard core One Piece-fan or just a regular tourist looking to get some authentic Japanese experience, Akihabara is Tokyo-must. The game shops are endless, and most definitely one of the best places to buy tiny or big gifts for anyone who`s a little interested in Japanese modern culture. If you have ever dreamed about visiting a maiden`s cafe, or perhaps a cat cafe, make sure to take the trip, if only to buy the cutest ice cream you have ever seen! Also, if you are looking for any technical gear, this will be the place to go treasure hunting.
We visited Super Potato which is one of the top list to visit in Akihabara. This is an awesome place to relive your childhood memories! They’ve got stuff from Atari, early Nintendo, PlayStation, PS2, Gameboy, Super Famicom and accessories like the Nintendo light gun, Virtual Boy and other interesting things.
They also have another arcade level where you can play a number of retro games such as Street Fighter. They’ve even got a working Pong arcade set!
Lastly, we visited the so called famous, Gundam Cafe. You want to know our review? Check out our video :D

The last place I found before I left Kagawa was the Udon school, whose name is unfamiliar. Good morning. I will start Nagano Udong school. It is a process to make Sanuki udon directly for 45 minutes. It is not a serious experience but rather it dances according to music and enjoys it like a play and makes udon. I was able to experience Japanese culture through a special opportunity to make udon. It is also on TV. If you make a udon, you will have memories of Sanuki Udon. I often eat udon. When I made my own, I would appreciate it when I eat udon in the future. I've seen this on TV. What you do is completely different. It was interesting to have such a resilience. I will graduate from school if I have boiled and cooked this delicious side. Although I made my noodles not noodles but noodles, I received the diploma of udong school safely.

JAPAN TRIP- Nara, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Gion (Geisha!) AND Fujinomiya Day 4 & 5 vlog!
Day 5- Exploring Japans original capital city of Nara today where we got to hang out with some very demanding deer! Our second major stop today was the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine located in the south of Kyoto. It is known for its thousands of big (and small) red Torii Gates which span over 4 kilometres. We then spent the evening exploring Gion, also known as the Geisha district. Although it can be packed with tourists trying to catch a glimpse of the Geisha, it is a beautiful place with heaps to do and full of great little places to eat!
DAY 5- This morning we left Kyoto and travelled to a town called Fujinomiya located near the base of Mount Fuji. We spent most of the day on a food tour of the town dressed in traditional kimonos and then found our accomodation for the night, a traditional Japanese inn called a Ryokan.

Yo wad up G? I'm originally from all over the US, but my dad lives in NYC so I say NYC most the time. I've been in Japan for over 10 years. First came here as an ALT teaching English in the public schools. Then I eventually learned Japanese well enough to work at a couple Japanese companies as a salaryman.
Here are some answers to common questions:
1. Do I Speak Japanese?
Yup, I met a mentor that changed my life named Khatz. He has his own website called Ajatt.com . It was the simplest and FREE way to learn Japanese.
2. What are you doing for work now?
Got tired of being a salaryman, now I freelance translate for cash and do Youtube full time.
3. How old are you?:
I'm a f***ing old man
4. How did you move to Japan?:
Found a job on Gaijinpot.com when I was over on a vacation
5. What camera equipment do you use?:
Mostly use an iphone 10. Also use Adobe Premiere cloud for video editing
