was taken onboard an Agi and around the Agi site which is something no tourist is allowed to do - Marly received very special treatment, including a special gift of this sequence of photos from Justine, from The Opal Bin, a professional photographer before coming to The Ridge.

The president of the opal Association recently unveiled the world first opal carpet.It consists of 400 Australian opals attached to a Kashmir carpet and framed.The opals are from all the main opal fields in Australia.There are black opals from Lightning Rdige nsw.Boulder opals from Queensland and white opals from Coober pedy .The feature stone is a 45.40 carat solid black opal from Lightning Ridge.The carpet will be displayed in local and over seas gem and jewellery shows.
