Oregon City
A video postcard of Oregon City, Oregon. Oregon City was established at Willamette Falls on the Willamette River in 1829 by John McLoughlin for the Hudson's Bay Company, to utilize the power of the falls to operate a lumber mill. In 1844, Oregon City became the first incorporated city west of the Rocky Mountains, and was considered the final stop of the Oregon Trail. The Oregon City Bridge, designed by Conde B. McCullough, is a steel half-through arch structure constructed in 1922 (although it appears to be a concrete arch due to the gunite concrete coating over the steel arch members).
Shot in 4K with a Panasonic GH4. Music by Kevin MacLeod.
Filmed by James Norman for the Oregon Historical Society, April 2015.

Oregon City Farmers Market - OSU Extension is Out There
Small farmers are at the heart of Oregon’s robust farmers market culture. The farmers work hard to raise healthy vegetables, fruits, animals and nursery stock for our health and well-being, often with the help of OSU Extension crop and small farm specialists. Introducing people to healthy affordable foods is also the work of Family and Community Health Extension.
Oregon State University Extension puts information and expertise within reach of all Oregonians so they may thrive in their communities, be lifted by growing economies, and share pride in the flourishing ecosystems of Oregon.
Farmer market in Portland, Oregon
I love nature and scared of crowded places. I love to spend my free times in the woods or on the mountain, but today it really changes my mind. It was a wonderful day I ever have at the Portland Farmer market. Street music, friendly peoples, flowers is in every corner at the market, foods...foods... smell so yummy, wild mushrooms, veggies, jams.... everything that I made, planted, canned are present there. Feel like home and in the woods :). Would love to spend some more time a place like that in the future. As I said, Autumn foliage is along the way from Vancouver Washington to Portland, Oregon. You gotta love our place. Another beautiful day on earth!

Vlog 037: Oregon City, OR
March 2017
Visiting Oregon City, Oregon on a very rainy day. Started the day by grabbing breakfast at Yvonne's Restaurant. Then strolled through the downtown area and to the Oregon City Municipal Elevator, the only municipal elevator in the United States. We tried to go through the historic McLoughlin House Museum, but were unable to due to school field trips. We finished up our day in Oregon City at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.

Oregon City Water Works Memaloose & S. Clackamas Explore
***Update***
The South Fork Water Line Exhibit is now open on the 2nd floor of the Clackamas County Historical Society. Located in Oregon City at 211 Tumwater Drive.
Lots of information and photos to view.
**** **** **** ****
In 1915, a pipeline was built to send much needed drinking water to Oregon City and West Linn. The water was collected from Memaloose Creek, and later the South Fork of the Clackamas about 8½ miles SE of Estacada, Oregon. Decommissioned in 1985, some of the pipeline, artifacts, bridges, and several tunnels still remain as well as three major waterfalls--all within a ½-mile radius.
If you would like a Google Earth KML file I built that shows the semi-accurate locations of the roads, tunnels waterfalls, etc in this video, let me know and I can e-mail that to you.
Here are some links about the area you might find interesting--more to come:
