Burkina Faso - Around Ouagadougou
Ouagadougu or Ouaga for short is the capital of Burkina Faso with nearly 2 million people living here. As far as attractions go - there aren’t many. Sand covered streets are packed with motorbikes and bicycles to a much higher degree then other west African cities and rush hour here is an insanity of no rules. There are at least 3 large mosques and and a new one - the Grand Mosque - is under construction. Several churches dot the landscape as well. A lake in the middle of the city is where everybody grows their crops. And of course, vast amounts of trash and plastique lie everywhere since the dry and hot climate allows for zero decomposition and goats don’t eat plastic.

OUAGADOUGOU - WikiVidi Documentary
Ouagadougou is the capital of Burkina Faso and the administrative, communications, cultural, and economic centre of the nation. It is also the country's largest city, with a population of 2,200,000 in 2015. The city's name is often shortened to Ouaga. The inhabitants are called ouagalais. The spelling of the name Ouagadougou is derived from the French orthography common in former French African colonies. Ouagadougou's primary industries are food processing and textiles. It is served by an international airport and it is linked by rail to Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. There is no rail service to Kaya. There are several highways linking the city to Niamey, Niger, south to Ghana, and southwest to Ivory Coast. In Ouagadougou, there is one of the largest markets in West Africa, which burned in 2003 and has since been reopened with better facilities and an improved environment to prevent other possible fires. Other attractions include the National Museum of Burkina Faso, the Moro-Naba Palace...
