Biggest Party In Central America! - Sunday Funday, San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua - 4K - Ep. 2
After arriving early in San Juan Del Sur, #Nicaragua, we decided to see what Sunday Funday was all about. See what you might experience at this incredible party in the 4k video here:
We left Managua just after sunrise to #travel to #SanJuanDelSur. We then met with our friend and headed over to Hostel Pacha Mama before 10am to buy our tickets. After eating breakfast and hydrating we went back to #HostelPachaMama to kick-off #SundayFunday. This party is essentially a pool party bar crawl. Just as the party started it began to rain. But that didn’t stop people from dancing in the rain and jumping in the pool. We then headed over to Hotel Anamar. This is where the party really seemed to get started. People jumped into the pool and danced everywhere. We had trouble exiting due to the large crowd that had formed waiting for the shuttles. Then we finally made it to Naked Tiger. We were a bit disappointed that we missed the epic sunset here. But we still enjoyed ourselves at this pool party on the hill with an incredible view of the city lights. After some rain, we decided to head to the new place early. This final destination was Arribas bar. We met some girls here who were visiting from the very nearby Costa Rica. People from Sunday Funday soon filled the bar and we all enjoyed that music. Locals lit off fireworks and that was the perfect way to end our very long and fun filled day.
A few safety tips mentioned in this video that we highly recommend:
-Bring only what you need. Keep some cash and your clothes to a minimum and don’t bring any valuables.
-Don’t accept drinks from strangers. All over central and south America, especially at this party, there have been problems with people putting something dangerous in their drinks. Only drink from the bars at the event.
-Keep a very watchful eye on your drinks. Even a drink you purchased could have someone later slip something dangerous in. So either you or your friends should always make sure your drink is watched and covered.
-Make sure you are in the right place both mentally and physically before jumping in the pools. These pools can get very crowded and people have drowned in the past.
-Stay hydrated as much as you can. We tried to drink a water for almost every 1-2 drinks.
-Eat when ever you can or bring snacks. There is not much food available along the way.
-Try to leave the parties early to avoid the bottleneck lines to get to the next place. You should especially leave early when going to of leaving Naked Tiger, since a shuttle is needed.
-Try to meet people along the way. It amazing to find out how far people have traveled to attend this event. It also makes the experience that much more fun!
-Oh yeah, and enjoy that music!
This is Episode 2 of our Nicaragua #Adventure Series. There's plenty of excitement ahead as we travel throughout this beautiful country in Central America and truly learn what an adventurous place Nicaragua can be!
