Paddle board at trawangan dive a cross to gili meno
GILI MENO UNDERWATER SCULPTURE / AMAZING STAND UP PADDLE YOGA ????♀️ / BALI
Did a 3 island snorkel trip on Gili Meno, Air and Trawangan, good value at around £4 each
The highlights were the Turtles and the underwater sculpture in Meno, actually designed by a British guy
On our return we saw a lady doing stand up yoga on a paddleboard, how she managed to balance with that 1 litre water bottle on her head god only knows! She'd for sure be fine holding a pint if she'd had one too many!!

LOMBOK PT.2 (GILI T & TIU KELEP) - The Way Overland - Episode 20
Part 2 of our time in Lombok feat. the Gili's and Tiu Kelep Waterfall (Air Terjun Tiu Kelep).
As there is no cars on the Gili's, only push bikes and horse and carriages, we parked the car in a (hopefully) safe parking compound in Bangsal for a few days while we enjoyed a few days on the island.
We booked a couple of nights accommodation on Gili Trawangan which is the most developed island of the three and extremely busy with speed boats and tourists (this came as quite a shock to the system for the first few hours!).
Although our second day here was a little wet and grey we were still able to go for a swim with the turtles just off the shore. Unfortunately tourism here has taken a toll on the reef which runs up the west coast of Gili Trawangan though we noticed a few artificial reefs had been placed in an effort to renew coral growth here.
The following day the weather was much sunnier so the plan was to hire a kayak and paddle over to Gili Meno to an underwater statue just off the beach. Although only just below the waters surface, it took us 20 minutes or so to find the statue due to very poor visibility in the water. After going for a swim around the statues it was time to get back in the kayak, which proved to be easier said than done! The kayak flipped and we'd not secured the GoPro, my mask and Mark's weight belt. In the heat of the moment we didn't even realise until it was too late and they were nowhere to be seen.. So, with only one mask it was up to Mark to dive down for the search party. After a couple of hours of searching and we had our lost property back! WOO!
After a few days on the island we were ready to get back to the car. The next stop on the route is a small village on the northern side of Gunung Rinjani, Senaru. From here there's a 2km walk through the rainforest to a waterfall which is like something out of a fairy tale, Air Terjun Tiu Kelep.
Coming to the end of the wet season in Indonesia, this waterfall was in full force and to explore behind the falls was lets just say, intense!
Next week we’re finishing off our time in Lombok by visiting one last waterfall before we catch the ferry to Bali.

Snorkeled with Sea Turtles! Paddle Boarding/Kayaking from Gili Trawangan to Gili Meno
We paddle boarded/kayaked from Gili Trawangan to Gili Meno so we could go snorkeling! It was absolutely breath taking until we had to come back. We didn't plan for the strong current and it took us so much longer to get back than it should have. The sun started setting and we were literally riding on 1.5 meter waves over black water....but were alive!

If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

Hanging out on Gili Trawangan today. Lauren and I hired stand up Paddle Boards and paddled over to Gili Meno and saw 2 turtles! Then we decided to ride the entire way around the island on cruiser bikes. Met some awesome people who also did their open water dive course and were celebrating. Weird ending apparently I forgot to film and ending kpeacecyalaterbyeeee!
