Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Casco Historico de Toledo
On a promontory, surrounded by the River Tagus, awaits the historic city of Toledo. Its old town, with more than a hundred monuments of almost all artistic styles, is an exceptional urban museum, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Toledo is a unique city, has more than 2,000 years of history and is a symbol of encounter between cultures. Its old town is precisely a reflection of this spirit: churches and buildings of the most varied styles - Arabic, Mudejar, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance ... - are next to each other, forming a monumental complex of curious perfection. This city of Castilla-La Mancha is located in central Spain, 70 kilometers from Madrid , and from the capital with the high-speed train you can reach in just 30 minutes.
Soon you will realize that getting lost in the streets of Toledo is a real luck. Traveling without hurry you will discover one of the greatest monumental heritages of Europe. Synagogues, mosques, palaces, convents ... The list of places to visit is long and covers more than a hundred monuments.
You can access the old town by the numerous doors that open on the wall that surrounds it as the Puerta del Sol , the Alcantara or the Bisagra . During your visit to the old center of the city, do not miss the Cathedral , an extraordinary work worthy of dedicating time: the Mudejar decoration, the choir stalls, the ironwork, the sacristy - an authentic museum of painting with canvases by authors such as El Greco, Rafael, Tiziano or Goya, or the Treasury room where the fabulous Custody of gold and silver is exhibited that goes out in procession during the Corpus Christi festivities , are part of its most outstanding elements.
Next to the Cathedral, there are many other places to enjoy in Toledo. Do you know that the nine vaults of the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz derive from those of the Mosque of Cordoba ? Not forgetting the synagogues of Santa María la Blanca and La Tránsito , which houses the Sephardic Museum . Get close to the fortress of the Alcazar and you can see an impressive view from the highest point of the city.
You will also like to visit the Church of Santiago del Arrabal , a magnificent example of Mudejar art; the Palace of Fuensalida , from the beginning of the 15th century; the Hospital de Tavera , a large Renaissance building with paintings by Titian, El Greco or Ribera; or the Church of Santo Tomé , where you can admire another famous El Greco painting, El Entierro del Conde de Orgaz .
However, it is only a sample of the monumental wealth that Toledo has: to not miss anything, it is best to go to any of its Tourist Offices .
In addition, at the Interpretation Center of the Historic Toledo , located in the Church of San Marcos, you can discover the city, its history and plan your own route in a fun and entertaining way, through different audiovisual and interactive activities. Come to Toledo and enjoy art and culture in Spain.

Hostal Santo Tomé Toledo, Spain
Descripcion

Fuensalida Palace and the Cigarrales area.
Despite being in the heart of the city, access by car is comfortable and simple. Santo Tomé street is pedestrian, but with authorized access for its customers, Hostal Santo Tomé is of the very few establishments of the Historic District that have their own parking, located less than one hundred meters away, thus giving a real solution to the inconveniences of accessibility, loading and unloading of luggage and parking for their clients.
